We enjoyed this resort so much. So much so that after we tried another night at another hotel in Cha Am, we decided to return to La Bua for another 2 nights. This is a gem of a resort. The main strength of this place is the beautiful & aesthetic swimming pool which has many side features. There are plenty of areas for swimming itself, sections for kids to play, pool bar, water showers within the pool itself, shaded areas in and outside the pool and slope surfaces which allows you to lie down and relax in the water similar to the sea shore. Since the rooms are mostly pool side, we were able to relax while still monitoring our curious 5 year old playing besides and around the pool. Rooms have 2 tvs. One in the living room and one facing the bed. The kitchenette is a star factor too. We spent a day cooking and this saved us a couple of bucks and allowed us to enjoy some home cooking and comforts amidst weeks of travelling and eating outside food. This hotel is suitable for car owners as you would need to drive outside 5-15 minutes to replenish your stock of junk foods at a cheaper price or for a massage. The only drawback is that it is not a beach hotel. Most of the staff are eager to provide good service despite their limited english. Special mention to front office reception Mas for the excellent service. Mr Amit too for his efforts. We were extremely comfortable here and spend loads of the time at the pool. We will be extremely excited to re-visit this resort one day.

Everything you see in the photos is exactly what you get. The rooms a clean and comfortable. The pool is nice and big amd well kept. There is pans and utensils provided and the BBQ grill and Jacquzzi on the roof was great. But what you dont see in the photos is the contruction that is going on behind you. There are some noise but not very loud and there is no facilities at the resort apart from the pool. The road to the hotel was very very bad. It was a dirt road with holes and bumps. Our driver from Bangkok got lost when following Google Map. The shuttle service is only at 3 times 9am, 12:30pm and 5pm. So basically you we almost likely will need to call taxi which is quite inconvenient as you need to bargain each time and the taxi either knows the hotel is quite far or even worse they dont know the way and you have to guide them. Personally I think the road into the hotel should've been finished first even if the resort isnt completely finished. If staying at the resort for your whole stay then that is fine and the price for this hotel is just excellent value. Some inconveniences getting to/from but kne you are they then its like a paradise.

We live locally and wanted to try this resort. The setting is lovely - sunken bar area in a huge pool. Prices are pitched as a five star resort. The cocktails were great, but the wine was not great. The food was just ok, the fried rice was very dry and lacked a lot of taste. They are putting on events there, and the monthly quiz Night was well organized and entertaining.
