A nice hotel with a spacious room. It tended to favour Asian guests. Most of the guests were Japanese and the breakfast is not catered for the western taste. I agree with a previous review that the cooked breakfast was often cold and when sent back we were offered no apology. We were given kimonos and slippers, but the kimonos were taken away after 2 days and we were only given one pair of slippers despite asking for a pair each. Quite weird. We saw no sight of any manager and the hotel appears to be run by young girls, some whose English is limited. Apart that, and the no English tv channels is was a pleasant stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Asira Boutique Hotel in Hua Hin for four weeks in January and February 2019. Because one of us has celiac disease, I contacted the hotel in advance and asked if it was possible to get gluten-free bread for breakfast. The short version is that when we arrived they had baked gluten-free bread, chocolate cookies and small cakes, all without gluten. In addition, we had our own jars of jam. They had found the raw material at a nearby supermarket. We were genuinely impressed by such service. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and at the front desk they helped us book excursions. The cleaning was good and both air conditioning and Wi Fi seemed perfect. The conclusion is that Asira is a hotel we can highly recommend.

A hotel slightly north of the main centre of Hua Hin, built around a very large saltwater swimming pool and small garden. All rooms have pool views; most face east to catch the morning sun, although a few face south. The hotel, being fairly new, is currently in good repair. The centre of town can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes. Tuk tuks are few and far between but a songthaew can sometimes be found to the right of the gate as you go out and will take you into town for THB 100. Rooms are spacious and immaculately kept. The housekeeping staff are exceptionally good, cleaning and tidying our room thoroughly and swiftly well before midday each day. Beds are firm but comfortable. Showers are also excellent; no problems with hot water supply. Before booking we had debated whether or not to have one of the rooms with direct pool access, but in the end were pleased with our room on an upper level which had a far more roomy balcony, together with a large day bed for relaxing. We did have some problems with a bedside light, which had an intermittent fault resulting in it either not working, or coming on suddenly in the middle of the night. The light was immediately removed when we mentioned the problem, and we were given a light which worked properly. However, the morning before we left, the replacement was taken away, and we were given back our original light - stlll faulty ... Internet is good and works well in all areas. As regards the TV, I must agree with a previous reviewer who lamented the lack of English channels, and, yes, a film channel would have been appreciated ... We found that breakfast was a bit limited. Luckily, each room has a kettle, plus a fridge where perishable food can be stored. One problem at the breakfast area is that food which should be served hot, such as fried eggs, pancakes, etc., is put out under covers which have heating beneath, but the heat has usually gone out, and the food is consequently stone-cold. It is possible to ask for fresh eggs but there is no "egg person" "out front" preparing these to order. Towards the end of our stay we sent clothes before breakfast to be laundered and they were not back the same day, which is unusual in Thailand. The cost of laundry is reasonable, but there was no indication on the laundry form about how long laundry might take. For this reason, don't leave laundry till the day before you leave, as you might end up leaving without your shirts! The hotel is on a quiet road and there is currently very little traffic noise. However, we did notice that a very large new market - yet to open - has been built next to the west side of the Asira, and how noise from this may affect the hotel may be something to consider in the future. The only noise within the hotel comes from other guests and, though some are considerate, others are not, so that slammed doors and heavy footsteps overhead can disrupt sleep (of course, the footstep problem can be avoided by choosing a top-floor room). Clientele is more or less evenly split between European and Asian. Both can cause considerable noise around the pool, which can become annoying, as noise tends to echo off the facade of the buildings. Problems can also occur when groups of friends or extended families take different rooms and then conduct shouted conversations with each other from balconies. For the majority of our stay, noise levels were manageable, but not on our last day, when the noise from both adults and childen (whether "supervised" or not) was excessive. We were puzzled by the notice near the pool which forbids the use of large inflatable toys in the pool when the hotel allows guests to use inflatable mattresses, together with giant flamingoes, unicorns and ducks, in the pool. I had originally decided to give the Asira four out of five, which I have in fact awarded. But I think that more than one incredibly noisy morning round the pool might have resulted in my concluding that only three out of five is deserved. It's regrettable that the behaviour of fellow guests can result in scores being reduced in this way, but I think that if hotels cannot ensure that their guests behave in a considerate way, then this will happen more often. Towards the end of our two months in Thailand we did stay at a hotel which had a sign asking guests at the pool to respect the other guests. This, of course, does need to be enforced when guests still act in anti-social ways. However, we would still highly recommend the pool, which is one of the best we have ever swum in, and, in addition, the hotel is also good value for money.

Asira is a very nice resort. Large swimming pool, spacious well appointed rooms, great showers, and very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was also good. Unfortunately the location is not easy walking distance to anything interesting, especially in the heat. The beach at the end of the street is a mystery, it looks fine yet there isn't a soul on the beach or in the water for as far as you can see. I'm not a TV addict but it I do like to keep up with world news while I travel and maybe watch a movie rather than go out every night. This is the only modern hotel I've stayed that doesn't have any English speaking channels

Happy to have stayed in this hotel located less than 500 meters from the beach. The room is well appointed and meticulously clean. The pool is a delight. The breakfast is excellent and it is possible to have lunch in the day but for dinner the reception advises a restaurant on the beach, the musician of this restaurant has a repertoire that awakens the nostalgia of before. To summarize it is obvious that we will choose this hotel for our next stay in Hua Hin.
