Our room was spacious clean, well furnished and comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful and a joy to deal with. The restaurant and bar overlook the beach and are very pleasant to relax in (you can also eat or drink on the beach). The property is set in well kept tropical gardens which make for a restful stay. A couple of things I really like is the relaxed low key music played in the bar and restaurant (not the thumping pop music or Muzak that is often heard in other resorts). And also I like that the rooms are very light and airey rather than closed in concrete boxes like in many new resorts. Good location 10 minutes walk from City Centre. Plenty of nearby restaurants, cafes, bars and massage shops.
I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I have to say this is without doubt one of the best. The bungalows are set in beautiful tropical gardens. The staff are superb and go out of their way to help..there are 2 swimming pools and both are served with a bar..the beach side bar and restaurant are very inviting...the hotel is a short walk to the main entertainment area although at the present time many of the bars and restaurants are closed due to the pandemic. All in all this hotel is well worth a visit. Finally the owner Laksasubha is charming and always around to help in fact her family home is still on the property where she has built up this wonderful tropical oasis
Please note that comments relate to use of their food and bevarage outlets, not a hotel stay. I used to stop here frequently for lunch or a drink as it's a pleasant place by the beach. But the service declined until I was being frequently ignored for 15 minutes or so before leaving without being served. This culminated when I was the only customer and there was also a meeting of senior hotel employees taking place in the bar / restaurant. Not only did the serving staff ignore but none of the employees meeting next to me thought it worth pointing out to serving staff that there was a customer waiting. After leaving unserved after 15-20 minutes I asked to speak to the general manager (who it turned out had been sitting next to me). She was apologetic, promised action and asked me to try again. Three days later I did and got the same indifference, which I put down to potentially being recognised by staff as the person who had complained. Fast forward two years and I have just tried again - nothing changes. Two member of staff at the bar / restaurant where I sat down. One chatted to the only other person present - a guest on a sunbed a few metres away. The other stared aimlessly through me from the serving area, although was sometimes distracted by her phone. After a suitable time I left unserved without any recognition from the staff as I left past them.…
Room was OK but not very private. Front door is all glass (sliding) and curtains need to be kept closed for any privacy at all. Room was OK and bathroom was pretty big but no door on toilet which is not very nice. Sunday breakfast was pretty good with buffet and an egg station, salads, cereals etc'. Monday and buffet was gone and had to order off the limited menu. We ordered and waited 25 mins and decided to leave hungry. Life is just too short to be wasting it like this. There were some fruit and salad out, but very poor selection and it was not being refreshed. Juice was sweet and cheap and also warm. Breakfast and bar areas are very nice, but we will not be returning - ever.
Sitting at the head of the Hua Hin beach, the Laksasubha resort enjoys the privilege of a great location. It is probably one of the oldest in town, which probably increases it’s charm immensely. The cottage rooms are well kept, complimentary snacks and beverages are on offer and the staff are courteous and very helpful. The two restaurants, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand serve great food. It’s a great place for starting a long beach walk or simply relaxing.
