Seen enough hotels or guesthouses? Want to feel at home while you're on the go? Visit our boutique homestay and enjoy our luxury rooms with all amenities you need. Set in a tranquil rural setting just outside town with a large tropical garden and mountain views. We enjoy hosting and giving you a place to escape to and yet you can enjoy Chiang Rai's charming city and people. Come and go when you like, interact or stay quiet, and sleep when you feel like it. We believe that getting to know Chiang Rai is not about visiting the city center which offers you the scene of a modern Thai city. What it is all about is exploring the beautiful province with its stunning nature, mountain scenery, hill-tribes, caves, coffee & tea plantations, its culture and impressive history. Bambuh offers you tranquility, the chance to experience local Thai lifestyle around us and makes a perfect starting point to explore. Yet, we are only a mere 10 km away from the downtown area with its hustle and bustle if you're into it.

Excellent boutique homestay. Great people, good service, welcoming atmosphere. We stayed 5 nights in the chalet and could not have had a better start to our Thailand trip. A quiet place just outside the city with great hosts. Two thumbs up! We‘ll come back…. Thank you

Very friendly management, very good breakfast, nice room in peaceful garden with great view, marred only by the noise of squirrels playing on the roof at night. Manager kindly organised two good days of tours with local taxi driver covering all the main sites (sadly the cave divers museum was closed for renovation and we didn’t make the most of the hill village due to many cafes being closed and not thinking to translate the tourist map when we first arrived)

Sorry for the wildlife buzzing around you. :-) That's the "downside"' of the little jungle we created over the years. We do prefer it over the hustle and bustle of the downtown area of Chiang Rai. Hope you share our opinion...

We stayed in this accommodation, loft apartment with balcony, two nights. The hotel environment, the garden was lovingly cared by the couple who built the facility. For questions of any kind, the two are available at any time. We felt completely at ease. Garden: in the garden you can go for a walk, thanks to all the self-planted trees and shrubs you are well protected from the sun. The adjacent stream also cools the air and with open windows, fly screens (no mosquitoes 🦟🚫) have been on each window, you can sleep very well even without air conditioning. The special thing, the sounds of nature. Who loves nature will feel very comfortable here. Location: Bambuh Hotel is located just outside Chiang Rai. With the Grab App you are in good hands. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the city. Mobility: you can rent bikes with a lock on site. There is a super nice bike path to a waterfall and further to a place with rice terraces. Duration easy way about 1 hour 30 minutes. In addition, you can rent a scooter or have a car come with the help of the Grab app. Accommodation: we were in the loft room with balcony. Super nice facilities. Everything made of wood and with attention to detail. The bathroom is very nice and in the same natural beautiful style as the rest of the accommodation. The large balcony doors give a super view of pure greenery and the distant rice terraces. From the balcony as well as from the bed you can enjoy a true nature concert when it gets dark. Also in the morning from 06:00 o'clock, when the sun rises, bird songs sound everywhere. Super idyllic. There is a air conditioning and ventilator. Supply: in the room there is water for free and a minibar around refrigerator. Breakfast can be ordered from the hosts and enjoyed in the beautiful gazebo. Dinner between 18:00-19:30 you can also order until 15 o'clock and be pampered culinary. We are fully satisfied and happy to have stayed at such a beautiful Paradise. Does times really good to switch off if you were before, for example, in the noisy Bangkok. Thank you so much 🙏😊 Bambuh Hotel is highly recommended!

Highly recommended for solo, couple or a family trip. Stayed for 3 nights and every single night was worth while. Surrounded by nature and a tiny water stream by the breakfast / reception area. Excellent homemade roasted coffee and service was homely and immaculate. The owners, Mark and Ya are filled with local knowledge, guidance and were more than helpful. I can’t go without mentioning Tess - the cute dog in the resort waiting to greet visitors since their first day. 10/10. Will be back!

A perfect located homestay close to Chiang Rai. Surrounded by pineapple fields, peaceful environment and warm owners, this wonderful homestay was our best hotel during our stay in Thailand. Well decorated, clean and comfort rooms, strong wifi, satisfying breakfast and lovely owners are just few of the values you get while staying there. 10/10 we will be back!!! Nature lovers- this is THE place for you.

Bambuh Boutique Homestay is an accommodation to which I will definitely return. Ya and Mark have created the most amazing retreat, located only 10 km. north of Chiang Rai. The rooms are built of Teak wood, in the traditional northern Thai wooden architectural style, and surrounded by lush jungle landscaping. Beyond the palms and tall trees are glimpses of green-gold rice fields and pineapple plantations. I sat on my terrace at dawn every morning, serenaded by hundreds of birds perched in the surrounding trees. Inside, the rooms are outfitted with all the modern conveniences and some special touches, like bathroom walls made of smooth round rocks that Mark and Ya hauled from the Mekong River. This is a very special place and I highly recommend it, especially if you want to get away from it all for a few days. But never fear, if you still need to stay connected to the world, they offer rocket-fast wifi in the rooms.

If you want to be close to the hustle and bustle, this is not the place, but if you want to be in the hustle and bustle you might want to rethink Chiang Rai as a destination in any event. Bambuh Boutique was very calming. The rooms were fine, the common spaces were inviting, and the optional meals were inexpensive and delicious. (After the first cup, be aware, you pay full cafe prices for coffee, so budget that in if you are a caffeine addict). The free bicycles were functional, but I wouldn’t take them out of the neighborhood. Within the neighborhood is the Black Temple, which is more erotic art installation than traditional temple, but an intriguing stroll on the wild side. You can’t walk to town, but you can walk to where buses and tuk tuks stop, or you could easily and inexpensively just call a driver via Grab. Best plan is to bring some light reading and someone you love, and recharge. The hosts were delightful and helpful. For example, they set us up with some awesome bike guides (chiangraibicycletour@yahoo.com) who picked us up at the homestay and took us on one of the best touring days we’ve had in a long time. In short, Bambuh Boutique is a lovely option if you are in the market for what they do.
