After several weeks of travels Laluna provided us with a day or two to recharge our batteries before moving on. The well appointed bungalow style rooms are linked by a labyrinth of pathways lined with a prolific variety of tropical planting that all
lead to an attractively landscaped pool area. oasis surrounded by ample rattan style loungers where guests can relax. With no high building breaking the sky line it’s hard to believe this little oasis is just a stones throw from the hustle & bustle of the nearby town.

Visiting the more rural area of Thailand and Chiang Rai, I was not sure to expect from a hotel resort. There are many hotels making an effort to make everything look great from the outside, but this hotel was the reverse. The reception looks nothing more than ordinary, but the rooms are actually quite nice and cozy located in small houses. Everything is built within a big garden, giving it all an excotic feel. The hotel has a quite large pool with a good choice of sunbeds, There is no service here, but you will find menus to a place located next door. You can call or go and see them and they will bring the food and drinks straight to you. A lovely place that you should visit when it Laluna Hotel. Very good value.

Laluna hotel and resort.
A lovely hotel. All ground floor arranged in beautiful gardens. Excellent rooms, a little basic in the Thai way but more than adequate. Large reception area with seating, and plenty of parking if hiring a bike/car. The hotel is set well back from the road so very little noise. Good breakfast and, as always, the staff are all on top of their jobs. The large pool area is secluded and has plenty of loungers, it can get a bit busy in late afternoon.
There are no views to be had due to all the fantastic foliage and the outside seating in front of the rooms is a little uncomfortable. The restaurant/bar is unfortunately rather expensive so very few patrons use it.
Downsides? Given two cards for internet as you need a different one for each device. I had to re enter the details at least once per day and it all seemed quite unnecessary and something not come across previously.
The hotel is about a kilometer or so out of town and few facilities in the immediate area. Town is walkable but taxis are quick and cheap, or a grab bike if solo. A 7/11 is 3 minutes walk away. Laundry place over the road but she is a bit tricky so write the cost in front of her otherwise she charges more than quoted.
The Lanna Tours trip advertised in the lobby is the bargain of the year. 1000TB for a 13 hour day to all the main local sights (8 in all) and including lunch with “M” as a very knowledgeable English speaking guide. So good I would do it again. An absolutely brilliant day out.
A very nice hotel and great value.

We booked this place mainly because of the photos of the beautiful pool and its green surroundings as we had to cancel our trip to Krabi due to the heavy rainfall. We stayed here 5 days, 4 nights.

From the road it does not look like much, you would not think this hidden gem is located here. However after arriving at the large spacious lobby/reception area, it feels like a quiet and comfortable place. The staff was friendly and helped us carrying our luggage to one of the cottages opposite the pool. The grounds are very well maintained, so many beautiful plants giving that tropical peaceful feeling.

Our room was as expected, clean, comfy, modern touches. Some minor points to consider. We got each one free wifi coupon and wifi was mostly fast and able to stream series on our own device, but for some reason it logged out automatically, so had to enter the codes on several occasions. We missed English tv channels, also the sewage smell from the sink was noticeable at all times in the bathroom, the candle helped a bit but it was not ideal. The airco was powerful but also challenging finding the quietest setting during the night, the fridge was making some noise as well so at night so we unplugged it. We only got one key so when you leave the room everything is turned off, expect a 24hr charging socket for your devices.

The breakfast had a large variety of cold, hot and fresh items. It was always a great start of our morning! The restaurant and room service was closed until end of month so we couldn’t use it. Also there is no bar at the pool so we made sure to have snacks (supermarket 7eleven next door, or coffee shop ‘22 grams’) or ordered food via Grab! The location is convenient, within 10 minutes a taxi to the market or shopping mall. Really recommend the food court downstairs!

The pool was the main reason for us booking here and it did not disappoint. It’s not heated but the hot weather makes up for it. There are free towels, plenty of sunbeds and some parasols. It was a relaxing experience just chilling at the pool, having a dip, enjoying the sounds of the birds, watching the plants.

We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this resort if you consider those minor points mentioned above.

Nice size room and comfortable bed but lacking a bit on storage space. The grounds are really pretty and there is a very good size pool. Breakfast was good but the dinner in the restaurant in the evening we felt was overpriced - evidenced by the fact that we were the only people in the restaurant! Pleasant stay overall.

Stayed here for 1 night as part of group tour. Location was good short tuk tuk ride to centre of town. Room spacious and very clean, pool looked lovely but we had early departure and didn't have time for a dip. Hotel provided evening buffet on our arrival it was delicious, Breakfast had a good choice for both eastern and western tastes. Staff appeared helpful. An extremely short stay wish it could have been longer.

This hotel has villas which is setup with beautiful garden around it. The villas are very private yet close together. Staff are fantastic and checkin was a breeze. Rooms are big clean with comfortable bed and chair. Bathroom was spacious and clean with shower cubicle. Breakfast was good with wide variety. Pool on site which was well maintained.
Restaurant close by for dinners . night bazaar/market is close too and tuk tuk available for under 100B. Attractions like White temple, blue temple and clock tower are approximately 20 min drive.
Tour company is on site which can book tours for various activities like the golden triangle and Hill tribe. Negotiate tour price and book tickets when relaxed in the evening rather than when going out for something. Avoid getting rushed. Our driver Mon was brilliant and explained everything in English. She was quick yet cautious when driving.Get the pic of what is promised. Overall fantastic stay and will stay here again.

Such a green hotel and resort in the central of Chiang Rai. The car park area is huge.
Bangalow is well organised and so many green. It is a quiet place. Swimming pool is large.
Wifi is not stable (disconnected every 2-3 hours)
Bellboy is a very nice guy.
No breakfast, no room service, no inhouse restaurant open at all.
Room keycard deposit for 500 bht is way too much to lose the first impression at check-in

We enjoyed our one night stay here in this hotel with spotlessly clean rooms set in beautifully tended gardens. Unfortunately because of COVID, breakfast was not served. Staff were friendly and informative. Although the rooms are in chalets, they are in fact spacious modern hotel style rooms. The bed is enormous and comfortable and everything worked in the spacious, well equipped shower room. The freebies were limited but ok and - for the price - it was very good value for money. We'll probably stay there on our next visit to Chiang Rai.

Very nice resort on offer here in Chiang Rai. The setting is exceptional and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant, it is very varied and of good quality. The small restaurant next door, for the evening, also completely satisfied us, whether for the service or the cuisine (but avoid the dry white wine that is offered).
Big disappointment however regarding the massages offered in the room. We were three brothers and sisters in a room and we chose one 1 hour massage and two 2 hour massages. The attitude of the 3 masseuses was really inappropriate: jokes and incomprehensible discussions in Thai between them and use of cell phones during massages. If we had known about this lack of professionalism in advance, we would not have had them in this establishment (despite the very affordable cost of the massages offered).

Once you are out of the Chiangrai airport arrival hall, go to a taxi counter on your left hand side and ask for a metered taxi to the hotel. The counter staff will issue a slip for you to hand over to the taxi driver. It cost less than THB200, if my memory served me right. It's safe thou.

Can't add more to the answers already given. An email to the hotel should give you the info you want. However, I would add that having stayed there last month, I would not return.

As this was a little while ago , I remember being ok with the prices. The choices depend on your taste buds. Breakfast Buffett offers a wide variety of choice . Lunch not sure of. Dinner - I was content. If you like to have a quiet drink in your room - I do suggest you inquire . Pricing is reasonable
