We arrived around 9 pm, taxi from airport 160B (the company left out of airport doors). Very friendly front staff who checked us in fast and then told us about the town and gave us a map. They told us about the walking markets, the Saturday one was still on and recommended for us to go, we did.

We had a king room, 2nd floor, with a view alongside the pool. Rooms along the pool are in shade all day which is nice if you want to sit on the balcony in the afternoon. Room was very clean, nice king bed, TV, fridge (with bag of chips, peanuts, ice tea and Pepsi inside, included with room price, refilled as needed), 4x500 ml glass refillable bottles of water to start, kettle, tea/coffee, safe, good lighting, work desk with little desk lamp (real nice touch), power outlet at desk for charging and overall lots of room for our luggage. Curtains did a good job of keeping the room dark. Good wifi also. Elevator and stair access to all floors.

Breakfast was wonderful, we absolutely enjoyed everyone. Some days (weekend) they have an egg station with ham and bacon. When not, they have a menu that offers complete egg dishes as well as Asian and local items. Also every day there is a nice selection of fresh fruit, salad items, breads, juices, milk, water, teas and coffee machine which make several types of coffee including cappuccino. You can eat inside or outside (if available and warm enough). Loved the breakfasts for the Asian items, khao soi, shrimp siu mai and fresh made rotis were our favourites.

They have a nice pool with loungers but we never used as busy all day then enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a cold drink overlooking the pool.

The location is great also, the Saturday night walking market it very close, less than 5 mins walk. The Night Bazaar is maybe a 10-15 min walk depending on the route taken. There is a 7-11 about 5 mins walk also. Fruit market around the corner. Restos nearby too.

The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful, especially the one young man we chatted with often when he was on shift. When leaving, he arranged a complimentary transfer for us to the bus station, very nice, great employee.

Doing a little for the environment, we often have our room made up every second day. We do ask for whatever would normally come with a make up, water, coffee/creamer, TP if needed and the hotel is usually happy to do that. We don't have fresh towels every day at home, why would it be needed on vacation.

One of the best all round hotels, we've ever stayed. It was a great place, would gladly stay again if in the area.

Great hotel, central location. Close to night market and eateries. Very friendly staff. Rooms (superior room) were spacious with a nice bathroom. Bed was firm but very comfortable. In the hotel you can use the washing machine and dryer (for a small fee). Swimming pool available. Not big but enough to cool down

Very friendly and smiling staff. The breakfast although does not offer a huge choice but is sufficient to satisfy all requests. A plus point is certainly the possibility of using the washing machine and dryer, paying 90 Bath per wash. Furthermore there is the possibility of using the iron. The hotel is located in a good location in the city, the rooms are furnished with the bare minimum, however cleanliness could be improved.

We arrived in Chiang Rai by bus from Chiang Mai and it is an easy walk to this hotel from the bus station. However, make sure you know the route (look at a map) beforehand as it is not straightforward. The hotel is located on the main road just down from the Clock Tower. Make sure you visit this at 7, 8 or 9pm as you will get a real treat. Le Patta is very well located for access to a variety of restaurants and the night time activity in the centre of Chiang Rai. We had a deluxe double bed room on the ground floor. This had a small terrace with chairs and table looking towards the pool. The staff were very helpful and always welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. Breakfast was good with options of indoor or outdoor seating. Eggs were cooked fresh to your liking. As a suggestion, take a walk down to the river and have lunch at 'Melt in your mouth'. Lovely food and views.

Other reviews mentioned this was an old hotel recently renovated, hence the review title. Location is directly on a major thoroughfare, an avenue chock full of motorbike retail and repair shops: the street traffic noise in our Deluxe Room was relentless. We found the staff adept dissemblers. Upon our 11 a.m. arrival, we were informed 'no standard room' available. I showed them availability on agoda and asked to see a room. They said not until housekeeping finished at 2 p.m. Well, ok then, I asked if we could only go to listen if room had no street noise and was told only if I paid first. Um, no thanks. But we could see a deluxe room, so we did. It reeked of cigarette smoke. But housekeeping would clean it, just pay and wait 20 minutes, or we could see a different deluxe room -- at 2 p.m. To treat potential customers like this is disgusting. But, after a long travel, we held our patience and took a room. I should also point out that we were initially asked how long we intended to stay. I told them three nights. Then, immediately after paying, they said hotel was fully booked the next night. Maybe, they just didn't like us? I don't think so. While waiting, we watched the next couple get the same treatment.

Stayed here three nights after seeing on internet that it was centrally located and a highly rated hotel. It is definitely walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The staff was amazing from the moment I walked in the door. Professional, friendly and efficient at the highest level. I was immediately upgraded without asking to a room on a higher floor. The room was excellent; large, clean and the highest technology I’ve ever seen. A bedside remote controlled all the lighting and the air conditioning. There was an additional control outside the bathroom for housekeeping. Touch the screen and a light goes on outside your room. No more ridiculous cards to hang on your doorknob. The bed was a very comfortable king. The bathroom was equally large with a huge walk in shower. If I could change anything it would be to add Netflix on the TV which is available at some hotels in Thailand now (there was a DVD) and install a grab bar in the shower. Other than that it was easily one of the best rooms I’ve seen in my travels. Due to Covid the restaurant was only open for breakfast with no buffet but you could order as much as you wanted from server for a set price of 250 baht (7.50 US). I know individuals will cry “expensive for Thailand.” Not for quality food, served by professional staff in a beautiful setting. I’ve had plenty of 100 baht breakfasts and believe me, you get what you pay for. The poached eggs here were cooked perfectly and the cappuccino was hot, strong and delicious. And again for those seeking hostel prices, this is a very affordable hotel for what you get. This is a 5 Star hotel with 5 Star service and the only place I will stay in Chiang Rai. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Spent two nights at the hotel. Got 2 connecting rooms.
Basically - everything was good. Very nice rooms in good technical condition. Nice swimming pool. Air condition works well. Very good shower that makes you wanna stay 😀
Location is central near the night market
Only one negative issue - if you ask for an additional key ( you get one per room) they charge you 200 baht if you loose it. It’s the 1st time I see this thing…
I would recommend this hotel and come again

Positive sides: spacious rooms, location close to most points of interest including the bus station, Wi-Fi, staff, location.
Points for improvement: our room was a little humid even though the dehumidifier was on, the cleanliness of the room was slightly compared to other Thai standards, the shower inside the tub was a little uncomfortable (but still with glass and not with the curtain ).
The breakfast didn't drive us crazy compared to others we've tasted, but it was still decent.
Recommended for price/quality.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Chiang Rai.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful. Ahead of our trip I contacted them to ask for recommendations on hiring a car and driver for the day. They came back to me promptly, recommending Black Dragon Tours. They provided a link to their email address. I contacted them to make the arrangements and we had a super day with them.

On arrival at the hotel we were checked in promptly by the lovely reception staff.

The room was great, extremely spacious with a comfortable king sized bed, mini fridge (with some complimentary items) and a hot powerful shower. The air con worked a treat. The complimentary shampoo and shower gel didn’t smell very nice but that’s the only very small issue 😀

Breakfast was fine, not a huge choice but plenty to set us up for the day. We loved the fresh eggs / omelettes.

As we went to the White Temple very early one morning we were lucky enough to spend a few hours around the pool. Pool towels are provided. It was a lovely relaxing area and the pool was very refreshing in the heat.

Restaurants / bars that we went to were Ribs & Co across the street, Spinn Wine Bar & Bistro, the restaurant in the night market and O’Kanes Irish pub (husband desperately wanted a pint of cider). All were good and would recommend.

The hotel is literally a 5 - 10 minute walk from the markets and bus station and if you’re heading to Chiang Mai, catch the VIP Greenbus. It’s brilliant and very cheap.

We had 3 nights at the hotel and if we ever return to the area would definitely book Le Patta again.

For a modern hotel, it's inexplicable that guests should still have to risk breaking their necks by stepping into a slippery bathtub to take a shower. Furthermore, the water leaks everywhere, requiring a major mop up exercise afterwards which uses 'all towels on deck'. The hotel has no major offerings but it is kept spotlessly clean with good quality linen and towels. Rooms are also of a relatively generous size. The key feature is the hotel proximity to the night bazaar, walking street, clock tower and numerous delicious eateries. Not the cheapest place to stay in Chiang Rai but certainly worth it for the location.
