We stayed at The Legend for 5 days--the perfect amount of time to get the full flavor of Chiang Rai and surrounding attractions. The Legend was a perfect place to start our days and to retire to in the after noons. Quiet, great Thai massages and beautiful room. Close enough to the city action to enjoy.

The hotel was very nicely landscaped - the grounds were beautiful. Our only complaint was our room - it was very stark with white walls and no wall decorations which gave it a very cold atmosphere. We did not have fresh flowers or fruit in our room as others have mentioned. The mini bar had no complimentary items - which...

We were in and out of this hotel and had to change rooms 3 times. 341,342 and 241. No way could we speak to the management to keep the room when we were away for one night and back again.so we un packed and packed. No need for a morning wake up call, the hotel staff has their walkie talkies...

This is a lovely resort in a lovely setting right next to the river. The pool area is beautiful and has a great view of the river. Our room was quite large and very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes, so had to keep the doors closed. We asked the reception to have...

Good location on banks of river with tables set under trees perfect for afternoon drinks and lunch. Did not use pool however was well used by others. Good meals and service. A little tired in some areas and could do with some updating.

Beautiful spaces - great rooms. Had a lovely one overlooking the river. Nice walkways and open spaces. But, wi fi didn't work and no one could figure it out. Staff pleasant but mainly efficient - not too helpful re ideas and activities. Beautiful pool. Food less interesting than in most Thai hotels - sort of institutional Thai.

This is a very pleasant hotel sent on the banks of the river. It has a nice layout with chalets around the gardens, quite a nice pool (but too cold) and the best area is to lounge overlooking the river which was nice and peaceful. The rooms are strange. An enormous shower area, with high level windows which just have...

Retro architecture and furniture, surrounded by gardens, is highly recommended. But the price is little higher than other hotels. Breakfast is good for Asian . But western people may don't link they coffee 😄

In our travels it is most often the staff that make the difference. The Legend proves that. The location is great, the rooms were very well appointed, the travel desk was very helpful, the restaurants were very good, the breakfast had everything needed to start your day. The staff starting from the General Manager Makoo was excellent. Mr Makoo could...

Jan 23-24 I could stay here for weeks. This luxury hotel, though a distance from city center, is well-located near the river on a large piece of property. The grounds and buildings make it feel grand and spacious. Just the long driveway entry is impressive and commanding from the street. However, a short walk beyond the protected entry to the...
