In posting this review, there is a sense of unfairness since I had been friend of the owner for over 40 years. For the past four decades, the property had been the best choice for overnight accommodation in Chiangrai. The hotel had welcome Royalty and important diplomats in the past. Therefore it had compiled an impressive historic performance. The property...

Wiang inn is a traditional old hotel in the Chiang Rai city center , excellent for groups, good for indipendent travelers. We got 2 deluxe rooms for 3 nights and new year eve. Warm welcome at the lobby with a fast check in and helped well with luggages by an attentive bell captain staff. The rooms(at smoking floor,2) are well equipped,with...

In an excellent location and staff etc. are good. Wifi very erratic and I really wanted authentic northern Thai food and sticky rice. No sticky rice available in the restaurant and I thought everything had been tempered down to western tastes. So as its convenient I would stay again but want more spicy food. Reception very helpful and the Festival...

The hotel is on one of the main streets near the centre of town, so very good for exploring the sites of Chiang Rai, mostly Wats. Tried to go to the hill village museum but was closed in the evening and did not open until 10.00 in the AM and wanted to leave early:(( Hotel was functional with good restaurant,...

Couldn't ask for more even if it was a 5 star, electrics didn't work on arrival and on reporting it was fixed within 5 minutes as the control panel needed changing. Beds super comfy, huge power shower and thick towels. Food - I can´t get my head around salad and soup or noodles and veg for breakfast but for those...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with a tour travelling through Northern Thailand. My room was overlooking the back, city view, nothing extraordinary but comfortable, spacious and clean. I believe I had the lowest category available. Everything in working order. Water pressure, aircon, minibar, WiFi. Food at the restaurant reasonably priced, tasty, good portion sizes, good service. Extensive...

I found this hotel average for the price which isn't cheap. Good points - great location, two minutes walk from the night market. One of the best buffet breakfasts I've had in Thailand. Staff friendly and attentive. Bad points - room service expensive. The food we ordered was luke warm by the time it arrived. All in all I think...

Centrally situated in the town and very convenient for shops, restaurants, taxis and so forth. The hotel seems to rely mainly on coachloads of tourists but, apart from sometimes making breakfast a crowded affair, this should not disturb the independent traveller. The place is not new but seems to be well maintained and cleaned and everything operates as it should...
