I would recommend the Wiang Inn as a comfortable, convenient location for any tourists staying a short time in the city. There may be better value elsewhere for tourists staying long-term, but this hotel is like an oasis in the middle of the concrete city. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, the WiFi worked fine (I was on the... More

We have stayed there many times and although it is older than many the service is good and the staff friendly. I have always booked a room on a high floor away from any traffic noises. We have only eaten breakfasts as there are so many restaurants nearby and the night bazaar with its food court.

Chiang Rai was a stopover for us while traveling between Mandalay and Laos, and this hotel had a great location for experiencing downtown Chiang Rai. It is right next to the night market and a short walking distance from the Saturday Walking street. It's amenities however are fairly average. The bathroom had been updated but had no hanging hook of... More

A nice hotel, quick friendly check in with a nice cool welcome drink. The room was nice if not a little short in electric points. Went to the night market for our evening meal. Breakfast was very good with a lot of dishes to choose from. Overall very good.

Have stayed here many times and despite drawbacks (terrible internet and bad noise from corridors) it remains my hotel of choice in downtown CR. The traffic is getting worse and worse and it really is better to be central.....They have upgraded the bathrooms, beds and the TVs so it is almost like a real 4 star hotel now (but not... More

Wiang Inn is old style accommodation reflective of 1980s and might not be everyone's cup of tea. It has a very nice reception, foyer and restaurants but the rooms look very dated and in our bathroom the décor was very uninspiring and you could see stains everywhere as the surfaces are so old they cannot be kept clean and spotless.... Stopped as part of Peregrine Tour before Laos. Good location centre of the city. Close to food stores, restaurants, 7 -11 stores. Found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Tips : ask for room overlooking pool. Book early

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and due to lack of availability, we were given a twin room with two single beds. The beds were of poor quality as it offered no support, my wife weighs only about 50kg and even she could feel the spring when sleeping on the bed and woke up with a backache. There... More

This is a great hotel for a stop over. My friend and I where on a two night stay and was made to have the buffet dinner as where when asked why we couldn't choose from the set menu was told that because there was large tour groups in the hotel they classified us as being on tour. Other people... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff are friendly & Helpful. The window in the shower was fun, those that complain just close the blind. The control for the lights was ok once you got used to it. We would certainly stay here again.
