I started staying at this small hotel many years ago and it never disappoints. It is a combination of a small hotel and guest house atmosphere. This time I was traveling with five girls/young adults ages 11 to 22 and five adults and everyone in our group loved Baan Nattawadee. I am always welcomed back as if I am a... More

This was my fifth trip to Chiang Rai and we always stay at Baan Nattawadee. It feels like coming home. The owners have become friends and are so welcoming. We happened to visit during unusually cold weather and the owner gave us a space heater to take to the mountains for our one night stay there, knowing that the forecast was... More

I was travelling with a friend, Jennifer, and since she knows Thailand, I just let her make all of the arrangements. She did not miss on any of our hotels, but Baan Nattawandee was a pure gem, a boutique hotel. We had hired a car and driver in Chaing Mai for the drive across to Chaing Rai. He did not... More

I recently visited Chiang Rai, Thailand and stayed at Baan Nattawadee. I have stayed here before and I'm never disappointed. The owners and staff are wonderful. The rooms are clean and spacious. Your stay includes a cooked breakfast in the beautiful courtyard.

Having spent a whirlwind couple of days in Bangkok and a trip on the overnight train and then bus to get here, our family were looking forward to relaxing for a couple of days. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family by our hosts, fong and ton. We were given some traditional... More

We love Baan Nattawawadee and we love the beautiful family who run it and their staff. When we plan a holiday in Thailand, we purposefully plan to visit Chiang Rai, so that we can stay at Baan Nattawadee! Nothing is to much bother for the family and staff - for example, numerous times during the week that we were there,... More

My first choice of a place to stay in Chiang Rai is Baan Nattawadee! I have stayed here numerous times and tried several other Chiang Rai area hotels, but this place always feels like I am returning home. This small hotel has a beautiful central courtyard with tables where guests enjoy a wonderfully prepared breakfast or come for a cup... More

This is a lovely little hotel in a quiet spot a little outside of downtown Chiang Rai, but only a quick Tuk-tuk ride away. Fong and Ton, the hosts were wonderful, the rooms were comfortable and the home style Thai breakfast that they made us every morning was simply marvellous. Ton's sister was there during the three days we stayed... More

If you are looking for a reasonably priced ($30 to $45 per night) small hotel, where you are treated like family, this is it! It is not fancy, however it is very comfortable, clean and efficiently run. What makes it a standout however, are the folks, Fong and Ton who own the place. If you are sick (as I was)... More

I knew we had arrived somewhere special when almost as soon as we landed in Baan Nattawadee, the lovely owner, Fong, invited me to see her marmalade-making operation in the kitchen! I had recently made two modest batches at home, but she was in full serious production mode, helping out a friend who makes 2-300 jars each year for a... More
