I had hoped being Novotel there would be a standard level one could expect. Not necessarily. Upon arrival the place looks very impressive however it lacks character. We arrived mid December and there were no lights around the whole outdoors. It was dangerous but also...More

It is a 20 minute journey to Hua Hin by taxi but there is a shuttle bus (charge I can't remember) which operates into town (Clock Tower) up until about 7.30 pm, believe last shuttle is 8 pm from Hua Hin so may need to take taxi back if spending evening in town.
The hotel is a resort so ideal to stay within the grounds, good food, good bar, great for kids . If needing to be in Hua Hin nearly every night you can do it but being 20 minutes away it may be worth looking nearer to town if a resort style hotel is not for you.
The shuttle operates early so getting into town for shopping is also fine.
