I like this place because this hotel is on the beach and private. The beach is very long. From the hotel, I can walk north or south of the beach. Each side is more than a kilometer. I walk quietly alone, feeling close to nature. There are no tourists, no canvas beds. You can walk down to play in the sea because the beach is not deep. The hotel is about 8 kilometers from Cha-am Beach, which has many hotels and people. This hotel has welcomed customers for more than 30 years. The rooms are old-style. The staff look good and friendly.

I am quite impress with the house rental that we rent. It has 2 bedrooms right by the beach at 5,500 THB. You can sleep up to 8 persons. Seems not costly but the room amenities is not well maintain for its price. with this price, if i chose to stay at 3 star hotels, i could get buffet breakfast too.

but with the fantastic view, ok, i paid the price.

The hotel is a good value for money, perfectly located in a quiet area with easy sea access. The rooms are very basic, no electric kettle or cups and dishes provided, no hair dryer, but a decent TV and air conditioner. They don't change your toiletries if you run out. There's a restaurant on the premises. 2 big pool each having a kiddie section. BUT they don't seem to care about garbage around, on the beach, on the terrace. Empty bottles left by visitors stayed on the terrace for days!!!! Occasional garbage washed or left on the beach stayed there until some conscious visitors took it to the bin. Management should pay more attention to cleanliness of the grounds. They also should procure more tanning beds, there are only 3 😱

This hotel was absolutely a waste of time and money. First of all it was in the middle of nowhere and we were the only guests there. We arrived in the evening and went to our room to find a horrible foisty smell, insects on the bathroom floor, dirty damp walls, dirty shower curtain and electric shocks everytime we plugged in the tv or hairdryer etc.The brochure shows a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. It said it was right near the beach which it was but it was a private beach which would be fine if there was any facilities near by to buy drinks or food.To go to the main tourist beach it was 20 minutes in a taxi costing us £5 each way.We went down for breakfast the first day and it was a dingy dirty place to eat where we were served one fried egg,2 mini hotdog sausages, lettuce and tomato-we never went for breakfast again. We couldnt believe we had to spend ten nights here.During our stay we never saw any staff in the hotel other than the odd maid now and again. They didnt leave any lights on for us when we returned on a night and when we did speak to the reception staff they couldnt understand any english which wasnt helpful to us.We couldnt wait to leave the dump!

We stayed there as part of a group (teaching kids English from a school in the province in which we live) and I would have to say that this place is probably only used for group bookings nowadays. Our group of 80 kids was there with 2 other groups ..... the only family staying there when we first arrived must have got a real shock to see all these people descend on such a poor quality place.
The food was bad (at best) and mostly disgusting and dry (definitely not fresh). Like the previous reviewer, I am not a fussy person but this place looks nothing like its brochure or website - a classic case of deceptive advertising. I have found that to be the case with all the Imperial Hotels I have stayed at in Thailand (the other 2 in Chiang Mai), which like this one are grossly overpriced.
The rooms were poorly appointed, no selection on the TV apart from a few basic local channels, dirty sheets were never changed and looked as though they hadn't been changed for 20 years or so.
The hotel is a long way from anywhere, which is OK if you are there as a big group, but then you have to put up with the rude staff and disgusting food. Don't stay here if you are a tourist or even a Thai family wanting a holiday - you could find lots of other places cheaper and better quality.

Went there for a break going to south of thailand. The room I got was absolutely not similar with the pictures they showed on the homepage and for 1300 THB included breakfast I saw much more better places around here. But for a sunset walk in the evening it's very nice . And the pool is great so far if not all customers want to go there. All together it's okay for a short time stay without expectations.

The hotel's website stated it as 10 minutes from Cha Am but it failed to note that the road leading in to the hotel is isolated and the resort is about the only place it leads to! First day's stay (Thursday) was about 1100B and second night was 1250B. This included a buffet breakfast.
Cons :
The rooms were not well kept - 4 of us travelled stayed in 2 rooms. One room had lights which did not work in the bathroom and room. The other had a broken toilet - enough said. After 3 attempts at repairing the toilet, they finally agreed to let us change that room. Both rooms didn't have towels. We called housekeeping but they couldn't understand a basic hotel request for towels. We had to go to reception and mime showering before they understood.
The hotel pool didn't look too clean and many of the tiles were missing. The pool area was also under renovation but they didn't do a good job of keeping the construction debris out of the pool.
Due to its remote location, we had trouble going out to Cha Am. When we asked the staff at the coffee house, they offered to get a taxi for us at 600B. When I told them I remembered the website offering free shuttles to the town, they denied knowing anything about it. As we had no other options, we took the taxi (which turned out to be a songtheaw) after bargaining to 500B. The driver dropped us at the beginning of Cha Am beach. When we finished dinner and shopping, he refused to drive the 2km down the straight road to pick us up so we had to lug out water bottles etc up the road again! He would have easily spotted us as we were waiting in front of the 7-11 in front of the Cha Am Love and Music Carnival - when we told him we were not happy about this, he told us there are plenty of 7-11s on the Cha Am beach road. He's right - there's 12 but there's only ONE in front of the carnival. We asked about a trip to Hua Hin for the next day and he wanted to charge is 1000B. It cost us 2200B on a taxi down from Bangkok (200km) so we weren't about to pay half that amount for a 30km ride. Luckily, because on the next day, we spoke to the reception staff who told us there would be a shuttle at 9am and 1pm to Cha Am. No charge!
2 bus loads of tourists arrived late that night and the bus drivers kept the engines going on all night - outside our room. This happened again on the second night.
Breakfast : western and local buffet. Passable.

Pros :
The hotel is on a beautiful stretch of beach. There are plenty of shells to collect and you can walk up and down the beach without encountering anyone else.
The hotel driver who took us to Cha Am was super obliging. We wanted to rent a car - he took us to someone who understood English and knew a car rental. Then he drove us to get the car. He drove us from the rental again when we returned the car on the next day. Then he took us to the train station and carried all our bags for us to the platform. BEST member of staff at the hotel!

- Pool: looks very dirty and no life guard -available
- Room: very basic room and amenities, no hair dryer, which is very inconvenient for a hotel by the beach
-No convenient store nearby and had to bike for 5 kilometers to buy some snacks
-Room service is very expensive, but we have no choice but to order/eat there due to no other restaurants around there
-It was a noisy night due to dinner reception from one organization : they arranged karaoke and sang until 10 pm.
-Paid 1300 Thai Baht per night for building L room. Compared to 675 Thai Baht price via online booking site, felt like being cheated by the hotel
-Staff could not speak English
-Breakfast: very basic
-The only good thing might be the beach which is in front of the hotel and not a lot of people on the beach
