Extending across 1.3 hectares, this low-rise resort encompasses not only outstanding accommodation and facilities but also abundant greenery and majestic trees for a genuine tropical-oasis setting. Similarly distinguishing The Palayana from many other nearby hotels is its 40-meter stretch of private beachfront, which extends much farther than usual crosswise to the surf. One may find this rare to the area where other hotels were built utilizing maximum space; hence making nearby hotels to have little to no usable beach at high tide or no beach at all. The property is located at a best spot of the island. It is one of the best property i have stayed in uptill now. The service is more then a 5 star and chef Andy is amazingly best in food. It was my wedding destination and all the guests are so happy with the food. I would suggest this property as a 5star for everything which includes food, location, rooms,pool , services all a person needs. If you are thinking to go to hua hin there is not a second thought but The Palayana hua hin.

A lovely and cozy property. The staff went above and beyond to make our trip a very pleasant and memorable one. "Palayana" is a word in several Indian languages, meaning "escape". This lovely resort's motto is "escape from chaos" which most of us are all too familiar with in our daily lives, and everyone there did a great job of helping my wife and me "escape" during the four days and nights we spent there.
The beachfront location is absolutely beautiful, though we didn't actually spend much time on the beach. Instead, we used the swimming pool several times a day; the water temperature and chlorine level were perfect. Our room was spacious, very conveniently laid out, and comfortable, with a spectacular ocean view, kept clean and tidy by the hotel staff.
Guests are treated to an amazing breakfast buffet every day, featuring delicious Western, Thai and Chinese food of many types. The dining room staff, especially the manager (?) Sean, was extremely responsive to our (admittedly few) requests. Highlights included freshly baked bread and pastries; not to be missed! The dining room is open for lunch and dinner as well, and the food we had was great, though it's a bit pricey especially for Thailand.
While I wouldn't describe the reception staff as extremely fluent in English, thanks to their helpful attitude they went above and beyond the call of duty in advising us on places to go and how to get there. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Hua Hin, though only about 10-15 minutes by car. I wish the taxis going there were a little cheaper than the 300 bahts they charge (less for return trips booked by the Grab Taxi app); without a car there aren't many places you can go conveniently.
We were able to get very reasonable room rates through Agoda; look around for the best price before booking.
We highly recommend Palayana to any and all looking to "escape from chaos", and hope to visit there again before long!!

Food is of great taste, but if you are staying longer than 2 days, you might run out of options. Atmosphere is very calm, staffs are very welcoming and they even provide you sweets in evening. I just had a problem, in google maps, the location showed huahin, which is completely wrong. This resulted me going to wrong place and search for the resort for an hour. But, with help of resort staff, we took a local bike to resort. One might want to take notice of it.

We hosted our wedding at The Palayana in Jan 2020 and it was one of the best decisions of our lives. Right from the beginning of the interaction, the team was extremely cooperative and answered all our queries regarding hosting a traditional Punjabi wedding overseas.
The beauty of this resort, apart from its aesthetically done architecture, is that you can lock it down for your event which added to the intimacy of the wedding. We wanted an intimate wedding with 100 people and this venue is perfect for that.
One of our main concerns was food and not only do they offer a huge variety in Indian food, the taste is delectable.
The team at Palayana ensured that all our events went smoothly, the guests were well taken care of and the decoration was exactly how we had imagined. Thank you to everyone at The Palayana, especially Twinkle and Sumeet, for making our events memorable and fun!

We got married in Feb 2020 and booked the entire The Palayana for 3 whole days. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 some of our guests had to cancel, but that didn't stop us and the wedding went ahead and we had the most perfect 3 days of functions and parties!!! It was the perfect intimate setting and it felt like we were home away from home. All the staff were super helpful pre, post and during the wedding, any issues we had with the rooms was sorted straightaway. I cannot praise the staff enough.
The hotel is clean, well maintained and right next to the beach, the food is beyond fantastic, what more can you ask for?
If you are looking to get married or have party, or a family holiday I would definitely recommend the Palayana. There is a full buyout requirement, so my advice is be clear on your guest numbers. There is also plenty to see and do around the area so it is a perfect location to see the elephant village, local markets, night market, malls, get a massage etc.
I cant wait to go back...maybe have a wedding anniversary reunion party!

We were staying at The Palayanas for 7 days, in 4 of them it was a construction site. First they started to renovate so we couldn’t go down to the pool without going through a dark garage in the basement. Where there were obstacles on the ground so my girlfriend injured herself. They renovated the men’s toilet so it couldn’t be used one day, they build up for a wedding two whole days with 25 men that worked nearby the pool so all the female guests were uncomfortable by just being there. And the day after that they started to renovate the grass. “Of course you can walk and do stuff on the grass” the manager said. Look at the pictures and please tell me if you think that we could walk or use the grass or just have a nice and relaxed vacation there?
They gave us NO information before we got there or even when we checked in that this was going to happened that week. I talked to the manager everyday day and everyday day he promised us that this was the last day for any construction, wedding and so on. But everyday it was a new project going on, either if there was a construction, garden work, or to build up a wedding. We wanted the money back so we could check in to a calm and relaxing hotel but we had prepaid the rooms and he said no. The only thing that he could do for us was to give us a 30% discount in the hotel restaurant and hotel bar which means we had to stay at the hotel to eat and drink to get something in “return” for this madness.
Which means we get zero.
So if you ever think about booking a five star hotel in Hua Hin don’t book this one because this is more like a 3 star hotel with lack of service.
Did I mention that they had between 10-15 people working there and not a single time under the week we were staying there they didn’t give us any attention or service so you had to go yourself across construction work, garden work or a wedding to just to get to the bar to get some water.

Dear valued guest, We appreciate your detailed feedback and would like to address some points from your review. During your stay from 20-27 January 2024, we did inform you about the one-day renovation of the pathway, providing an alternative for your convenience. The toilet renovation also lasted only one day, and the wedding festivities, which we communicated a day prior, were confined to a single day. We find your review to be quite misinformative as most information was given at the time of check-in or when you met me personally. I had personally assured you that you will have access to sunbeds on the pool as per your request and your request were duly carried forward. We had received your demand to waive off your entire F&B bill, which seemed quite exorbitant from your side. Nevertheless, to find a fair compromise, we had offered a 30% discount in our restaurant and bar as a goodwill gesture which was carried out through the remainder of your stay as well. At no point did we prevent you from moving to another hotel. We respect our guests' decisions and would have assisted with any necessary arrangements. To claim that there was no action from the hotel is purely a misrepresentation of the truth. The picture you posted of the lawn represents only a portion of the total area. The rest of the lawn was unaffected by the ongoing work, and we want to clarify that there was no noise disturbance associated with these renovations. Therefore, we believe this image misrepresents the reality of our serene surroundings. Our lawn is over 800 sqm in size, the refurbishing of the lawn was merely being on a space of 250 sqm. You had the remaining portion of the lawn at your disposal and I am pretty sure that the remainder of 650 sqm should be quite an adequate size for the both of you to roam about. Lastly, all hotels worldwide undergo renovations to maintain their standards. We regret any inconvenience caused and assure you that your feedback is crucial for our ongoing efforts to enhance our guests' experiences. The rooms in the main building were spacious, allowing space for kids to roam around. Our family also booked the three bedroom pool villa (v11) closest to the beach. It was a great spot to have as a central place for the family to meet. The hotel organised a buffet dinner for us at the villa, there was also a private bbq dinner and a molecular sit down meal as well. Overall a great experience, goods rooms and friendly/accommodating staff.

We had the most unusual but ultimately thoroughly enjoyable stay in Hua Hin.
We were a group of 4 families of 7 adults and 4 children having a reunion, therefore rented a 4-BR villa so we could stay together for the occasion. Unfortunately, the initial experience was complicated by issues with our Blue Lagoon villa. We met and discussed with the manager 'Paul', who was immediately available and most attentive to our concerns. Suffice to say, the situation was remedied in a timely manner above and beyond our expectations. Thank you very much Paul and your staffs for listening, and delivering on your pledge for providing the best experience possible for your guests! Now, this is what world class hospitality and customer service is all about!

Been here for 4 days 3 nights and below is the reason why u should not expect 5 stars standard service from hear
1) Use low standard amenity ( slipper ) look at the photo attached here is what we got for pool villa room
2) Room is not maintenance, the heater for hot water is broken at 8pm at night we has been wait for 1:30 hrs to fix instead of relocate room we need to wait someone fix it in middle of the night and yes nothing compensate for that even a say sorry words.
3) the morning after we found a flood on the floor which i guess it ac issue. Luckily we open the light otherwise this could lead to accident.

Dear Pam C, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very disappointed and deeply apologetic to learn that you did not have a pleasant stay with us. We have addressed this straight away to our staff and escalated it to the management for immediate action. As a result, we are pleased to inform you that we have already changed the slippers that are provided to ensure that the quality is better. In addition, we are currently making changes in our amenities selection to provide all our guest with the best resources. We hope this experience will not alter your confidence in The Palayana Hua Hin and we truly hope you will give us another chance to show you our quality of our service and the opportunity to welcome you again soon. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Our villa only had one bedroom but there were two and three bedroom villas available as well
