I was looking for a place to chill by the pool, read, and relax for a day before going on a liveaboard diving boat. The room was big and very nice. Bed firm and comfortable, Huge bathroom. The staff were very helpful, although limited English spoken. When I worked out how remote it was, and that they don't offer any food in evening, they were kind enough to lend me a motorbike to get me 1 Km up the road to a 7-11 so I could buy some food and drink. But the biggest disappointment was the pool. It was about 5 m long and 2 m wide. Not a "Pool" by any realistic measure. And it is right outside 2 bedrooms, who use it as their social area,, so not very comfortable for any others. No "poolside" seats. Also dissapointed that breakfast didnt start until 0800, whereas I was being collected at 0745. On a site where everything goes quiet at sunset (18:00-19:00), I would expect services to start a bit earlier. Not 2-3 hours after sunrise. At £30+ a night, in a remote site in rural Thailand, with poor wifi, I didnt see it as good value.

My wife and I just got off a 3-day diving excursion (living on a diving boat with extremely tight accommodations) and all we were looking for was a hot soapy shower and comfy bed to crash in. I'll start by saying that the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful in showing us how to get to the beach and where to eat, hence the 2 stars as opposed to 1. The room is not pre-air conditioned so we had to sweat it out while unpacking our clothes and waiting for the AC to make an impact. Additionally, the AC unit has a loud vibration that will will keep you awake all night. The shower was large but the water gets luke-warm at best and there were no washcloths or shampoo provided. The bed is the worst! I'd prefer to sleep on the dive boat beds than this creaky and extremely old spring mattress. Don't sleep here if you have back problems. I tried the TV (it had no connection), then I tried reading (there was a lamp but no outlets for it to be plugged into), so we just went to bed. And my previous comments can attest that sleeping was no better. The place looks cute from the outside and it's a nice quiet area, however I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were staying @Relax resort for 7 days and had a wonderful time. First of all the host - she's from Europe- was super friendly and welcoming! The resort itself is little hidden - in a positive way. It's surrounded by nature which gives it a peaceful and relaxing environment. It has a little pool which is sufficient in size if you wanna refresh yourself. The rooms are huge! Was also surprised that the bathroom was as big as our room itself. Furthermore, most rooms are shaped circular which gives it a rather different, more exciting experience, than traditional hotel rooms. Breakfast is included. Scrambled eggs, sausages, Toast and lots of fruits. Totally sufficient. Location: The resort is around 1km away from the beach. You can rent motorbikes Nd bicycles to get around so the distance is not a problem. Also, that beach that is nearby, is one of the nicest beaches in Khao Lak. Not many people, rather hidden with nice little beach bars and restaurants. The area is also where all the luxury 5 star hotels are located such as the JW Marriot or the Haven. Summery; If you are looking for a quite, peaceful place with great value to a fair price and you don't mind using a motorbike or bicycle to get around, this is your place and you will have a great experience here!
