Very nice hotel 15 mins drive away from Khao Lak centre. Clean beach and good pool. Staff was friendly. We stayed on the ground floor which was a good choice. Very tasty breakfast and good food also at the pool bar. I specially recommend Satay Chicken. We didn’t dine at the hotel with exception of special theme dinners. There are few good restaurants at the beach, small walk away. This is a peaceful place. There are no water slides, but you can have a massage at the beach.
I had this hotel booked for 8 nights in October, sadly we wasn't able to go and had to cancel due to the Thai Government's policy of 14 days isolation on entering the country. I have made a claim against my insurance company but the claim is being held up due to the hotel not confirming whether they will refund me or not. I just want an answer one way or the other but they have not answered any of my messages over 7 e-mails over as many weeks. Really unprofessional!
I think this was visit number five for us and it just gets better, even had a couple of Manathai newbies with us this time and they quickly understood what keeps us coming back.Yes its a beautiful location and the food and service are excellent but its the people who work there that make the difference from check in to domestic staff they are all so friendly and welcoming and always look so happy to see us return. This is a fantastic resort just to chill out at and recharge even the Gen Ys in our group get it haha . Once again to John and his amazing people thanks to you guys for making it perfect again and we will be back in 2021 for Songkran cheers
We agree with the comments in the previous 5 star ratings so won't repeat. It took us a day or two to 'adapt' to the size of the resort as we had come from the lovely small Dream Hotel and Spa in Phuket and then from the Khao Sok area - but within 24 hours we loved it. Wonderful pool which we used a lot early in the mornings and late afternoons. Early morning long walks on the beautiful beach and then relaxing in the bath water temperature sea. (We had a few days at the Sarojin after the Manathai and (in our opinion) the pool and beach area were much better at the Manathai. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach under the shade of the trees - at the Sarojin very small beach area with no trees for shade.) Restaurant staff were excellent - especially the Restaurant Manager (apologies that we have forgotten his name). He looked after us so well and made us feel really welcome. A credit to the Manathai. We will certainly come back to the Manathai when we return to Thailand. Our thoughts are with all the staff during this awful time.…
We stayed at the Manathai Khao Lak for a week as part of a planned trip to Thailand, Singapore, and Australia. Unfortunately the travel restrictions meant we couldn't get as far as Singapore or Australia, but had to come straight home after Thailand. However our disappointment at coming home early was lessened by the fact that we had such a lovely time at the Manathai hotel. The hotel in general and our room in particular were excellent. The beach and pool area were super (although a bit in need of some attention in some places). The staff did a great job of looking after us in these difficult times, which made a huge difference - especially when you think of the uncertain future many of them face. Overall a wonderful stay in a fantastic place, we will definitely return when things get back to normal.…
