We thought the hotel was beautiful, the room (deluxe pool view) was great, the bed comfortable, the pools and setting were great. The gardens were amazing... the location very nice and quiet, but we wouldn't return... Why? * Breakfast was very underwhelming (actually the worst we have seen after years of staying in 4-5* hotels in SE Asia (Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia...): Hardly any local food, terrible pastries, little choice...all cheap stuff. German bread rolls anyone...? We stayed in the La Flora resort the week before and the difference was day and night (La Flora served fresh homemade sushi, ice cream, freshly made banana roti, delicious curries, benedict eggs etc.) but Eden Beach only served a very average breakfast, very disappointing... while prices were very similar (La Flora being cheaper actually). In fact we were so fed up with the breakfast on the last days that we paid to have (very nice!) breakfasts at the Merlin next door! * Staff members spoke to us in German all the time, very annoying. The (Turkish?) guy working in the hotel never said 'Hi' and didn't have the basic skills to work in the hospitality industry. I love Germany and the Germans, don't get my wrong but if a hotel decides to sell itself on the international market, everyone should feel 'part of it'. At times it just didn't feel like we were in Thailand... A pity, it could have been great, just not for us.... …
This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful, though hilly, grounds beside the beach. Large rooms with pretty decor. The food is good with a buffet restaurant and an a la carte café. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the majority of the guests are German who are still putting towels on sunloungers before breakfast. I thought this bad mannered behaviour was a thing of the past but obviously not. So if you want a hotel where there is a choice of sunloungers after breakfast I suggest a hotel with less German guests. Sadly
Awesome hotel in GERMANY Great Hotel, nothing to complain, but it's just German. If you all staff greets you in German, kitchen staff asks you in German how you wanna have your food and all guests are German you feel you everywhere but not Thailand. Even no Sawdee krap / la from the staff. I am german myself living in Thailand for decades, this was just too much. I felt like we are on Mallorca or Italy. Again, the hotel, it's facilities and food are great, but I would not come back, I don't need to be stared at all the time, cause we mix languages and look interesting to others. I was shortly before offering popcorn to the viewers. Furthermore, daybeds getting reserved with towels. I would not come back, the Thai character is totally missing
The best thing about this hotel is the staff: they are all, without exception, hardworking, welcoming and always smiling! Everyone is doing everything in their power to make your holiday perfect. Nothing is too much trouble! Our pool access room was attractively furnished, a very good size with a huge bed. There was plenty of storage , efficient airconditioning and very comfortable chairs on our terrace beside the amazing pool. The grounds were stunning with wildlife (including monitor lizards sunbathing by the pond and waterfall) all around. The main pool was warm, with plenty of sunbeds and never crowded. The beach was beautiful ...a lovely place to walk and unwind. The sea was warm and there were many local cafes along from the hotel where the food was both cheap and delicious, and the welcome and service were second to none. The spa in the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was varied and the restaurant had great views over both the sea and the hotel grounds. There was a complementary shuttle to both Khao Lak and the local market but the latter was often fully booked. More capacity would be good! An elephant sanctuary and waterfall are within walking distance and there are a few shops and restaurants very close by. An excellent holiday!…

Fab break at the Eden Resort. Stunning Hotel on the beach. Taxi service into Khao Lak 2x a day. Markets local. Stunning beach and lovely local restaurants nearby. Elephant bar was a great place to drink and entertain just 10min walk into the town. Perfect location. Spa Thai massage was lovely. Service was great. Apple the hotel manager she was very helpful and understanding.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Excellent breakfast and dinner! The hotel staff is exceptionally welcoming. To mention the professional and excellent service we received from the reception manager Mrs. Apple and her team Mrs. Bee. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
We stayed in room 509 from the 12th September to the 26th, and from the moment we checked in until the day we left we could not fault the hotel. We booked with voyage prive and got a lot of extras including a 1 hour massage each and free meal for two on one night. The pool area and garden's were beautiful the beach was lovely apart from the plastic items that washed up during the day. I would happily recommend the hotel and a big thank you goes out to everyone who works there for making our stay perfect.
I’ve recently checked in this hotel, will be staying for three 3 (2oct to 5th oct) nights, in my opinion this place has got one of the most stunning beaches in the whole of Thailand with an addition of affordable cuisine. The pool is very wide and beautiful. The staffs are quite friendly, and they also have shuttle service to the city centre and nearest local market as well. However the only con that I’ve found here is that the bathrooms are getting quiet outdated, the rooms needs more sound isolation, the pool access rooms are subpar with the competition, which definitely needs to be reworked on, as, in real life its seems very pale and isn’t attractive enough for the price. Therefore I’d recommend the hotel to modernise their rooms and bathrooms only as of now. And for the tourists thinking about visiting this place, it’s definitely a YES any day of the week, as the cons are very minor (and people on honeymoon can avoid this point). Otherwise if the hotel management decides to act upon the reviews and modernise a few parts of their hotel it would be spotless.…
