This is a small, extreme friendly, full of character, beautiful hotel. Built up a steep hillside in dense rain forest, this isn’t all about a panoramic view from every room, it’s about atmosphere. Our room was a large villa suite up the hill and we couldn’t see the sea (though we faced it), but we were high in trees and it was a sanctuary. To keep the tropical vegetation as it is, not clear it to make space, is a choice the owners clearly made, and is a great one. The walk back to the room each night through the gorgeously lit forest, across raised bridges and walkways, was a highlight. Down at sea level it IS about view. There is a large pool, bar and restaurant, with a pond too. Orchids in trees. Lots of sunbeds, both on beach and by pool. This is the nicest stretch of the whole beach - uninterrupted sand whereas it gets rocky further along. The sea is perfect for swimming. Breakfasts are great, lots of choice, and evening meals are good too, served at tables on the beach. We actually had many meals next door at the Bamboo beach restaurant, which served (among other things) AMAZING Thai curries. Staff are so friendly in the hotel. Happy hour is a treat. The shops and more bars are a 10 minute walk along the road. Good supermarket. Cut left (at the supermarket) to access the beach and walk back that way. A superb 5 night stay to end two weeks in Thailand. Highly recommend.

Small idyllic hotel. Super delicious portafilter coffee. Large selection for breakfast, fresh fruit, smoothies, Thai dishes, fresh egg dishes prepared individually. Bread, pastries, homemade jam. It leaves nothing to be desired. Clean rooms in 4-person houses. Furnished in a typical local style. Not the newest furnishings but that's exactly what makes it so charming. Quiet, right in the jungle. We had the door open, good fly screen, air conditioning off was very pleasant through the trees. The beach is also very beautiful and above all you can lie in the shade. Plenty of loungers and a nice pool that isn't too cold. The prices in the Leela restaurant aren't as overpriced as in other hotels, so you don't have to eat out. The cocktails are also highly recommended. The sea is very close, clean and inviting for swimming. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back. Tip. The massage after that to the left of the beach is great. Clean with neck pillows.

We stayed here for 14 nights in January and agree 100% with all the other 5 star reviews. ALL staff are absolutely amazing and can't do enough to help you enjoy your stay, so it is very difficult to pick any one person out. The whole place is imaculate with little touches of hand picked flowers placed around the garden. We can definately recommend the spa for a massage. We feel we must mention the whole kitchen team who provided us with beautifully cooked food everyday. We were all treated on a Saturday night with an amazing barbeque feast on the beach, where all staff were introduced and also en9tertained us as well. This was a really nice feature and showed what a loveley family feel this place has. We have already booked to come again in January 2026, what more can we say.

Amazing boutique hotel only 32 rooms set in stunning tropical gardens, not really suitable if walking difficulties as lots of steps to some rooms. We were in room 1107 which was a bit of a trek from the lobby. About a mile walk from Khao lak centre 15/20 min but only 100bhat by taxi (£2) so quite centrally located. Right on the beach stunning location, fantastic staff would definitely recommend this hotel, stayed 7 nights

We are just back from having the best time at Khaolak Paradise Resort our 3 rd time. Stayed 2 weeks and met up with my sister & brother in law who live in Australia,it was 100% perfect. The staff can’t do enough for you, each and everyone of them are wonderful. Set in lush jungle on the best beach. Beautiful swimming pool as well. It’s privately owned and they really CARE it’s about 38 rooms so not crowded. The food is fantastic at the resort Leela Restaurant you can eat on the beach or inside. It’s a very relaxing resort it truly is a special place…highly recommend. Huge Thank you to all the staff especially Nha the restaurant manager for making our stay wonderful. Oh and Nong for making the BEST cocktails.

Nearing the end of a 10 night stay. It is a pinch me am I really here place. There are only 36 rooms set in thatched roof blocks of four (2up 2 down) leading on to a soft sandy beach which northwards stretches some distance. The hotel is set on a hillside spilling down from the road, but is not a difficult climb. Rooms are comfortable with all usual amenities and wonderful views over the jungle down to the beach. The restaurant and bar are beachfront and feet in the sand dining is a delight at mealtimes. Pool is next to the bar, behind the beach and often we would have it to ourselves apart from a gecko which sometimes came in for an afternoon swim. At all times at the pool and beach there are always plenty of loungers even right on the beach front. Breakfast is included and you would have to be very picky not to find something to suit, from the ubiquitous egg station, cereals, pastries, fruit to various oriental delights. There is a beach bar next door and we went there occasionally for a drink. We fully expected to eat out more but the dining options at the hotel were so good and the most reasonably priced we have seen in many Thai hotel stays. For a snack and drinks at lunch for two we paid around £10, and for dinner with drinks at night about £20-£25. I am writing this during half price happy hour(4-5p.m.) with large beer, g&t, wine or cocktail between £2-£3 each! Better get another round in. Two to three times a week they do a beach bbq type event, with live music and a choice of dishes served with bread, salad, soups. Again great value for money and you are unlikely to go hungry. All the staff are a delight and could not be more helpful and after a day seem to know your room no. and food and beverage likes. As you can gather I am total convert and the place is synonymous with its name. I want to return next year so please don’t rush to book so that we can get in.

This hotel was great, the rooms are almost set in a jungle despite being on the beach front. We had room 301 which was quite close to the pool / bar / restaurant / beach, however no clear view of the beach but we didn’t mind that. There are a lot of steps up the lobby / road however it wasn’t necessary for us to do this but just keep in mind for those that may struggle walking.
The rooms are clean and also the staff take care of the bugs by lighting a candle for incense every night as well as having a plug in. The fridge was also cold - something we have struggled with across Thailand so this was great.
It is an independently ran hotel and you can tell - we stayed over Christmas for 4 nights and it was lovely and quiet. No issues for sunbeds at the pool or beach. The staff are so helpful and are willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable.
Breakfast was really nice with lots of options. We ate a lot at the hotel restaurant on the beach - it has one of the best atmospheres along the beach and again the staff are lovely and the food decision. Location wise there are other restaurants and bars on the front for a bit of variety if you want. We liked the one directly next door.
The Christmas Eve party was great and the staff put in so much effort.
Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stayed for 10 nights at the beginning of December and it really was Paradise.
The resort is very steep with lots of steps, which was fine for us but less mobile would find it difficult.
We had a couple of massages, which were fantastic and in a wonderful tranquil setting.
The breakfast was incredible, from egg station to cold meats and salads, choice of Thai dishes, fruits, cakes, pastries, etc.
Dinner on the beach was pretty special.
The location of this hotel is incredible surrounded by nature. On walking along the beach for some distance, we realised we had fallen on our feet in choosing this hotel. Not only for location but just how attractive it is, blending into its surroundings.
We specifically chose this hotel because it is small, I believe 38 rooms. It certainly had a feel of exclusivity and more of a couples resort, which was important to us.
Andalay Beach Bar, just a minutes stroll next door, was a favourite of ours. Great staff.
It is easily walkable into town but so easy to get a taxi so we did that most nights.
We are looking to return to Paradise January 2026!

This resort exceeded our expectations. After a 1 1/2 week round trip, this was just the resort to relax. A great facility in the middle of a magnificent well-kept garden invites you to relax, explore, enjoy etc. The resort is neat with 38 rooms and therefore a small bijou.
The massages in the spa area are recommendable, just soothing. The breakfast buffet is varied and versatile. The menu for lunch and dinner is also top. No matter which dish we chose, the food is very fine.
The staff, whether reception, bar, breakfast, spa, garden etc. is very friendly. After a day, they already know which drinks we love.
The beach area is perfect for swimming. There are no big stones like other beach sections. However, if you want to walk on the beach, we recommend wearing beach shoes or having them with you, because the beach passes partly over/between large stones.
The only thing that bothered us was that many hotel guests reserve sun loungers on the beach in the morning and then don't show up for hours. I'm sure the hotel could pay attention to this.

Khao Lak Paradise Resort is the best place I have stayed.
The ambience, views and scenery are absolutely stunning and the resort feels very exclusive as only round 39 rooms..
The staff have been excellent, very attentive, warmly greeting us every morning (and throughout the day) and nothing is too much trouble.
Nha personally waited on our table everyday, making sure we had everything we needed. She is polite, efficient and always has a smile on her face.
Thai people are so genuine and caring; all the staff have made our stay so special, Thank you to all 😊
