The bungalows are quite big and very clean with a nice porch; nice restaurant on the beach with very good tasty food; there are enough umbrellas and deckchairs with great beach service; you can book trips in the resort; great wi-fi; it's really worth visiting
What’s not to love about this place. The staff are outstanding. The food is gorgeous and the beach is amazing. It’s the little things that make a difference to a holiday and this blows all the 5 star resorts out of the water. Sitting eating dinner, next to the beach surrounded by fairy lights..... it’s stunning!!! Highly recommend this wonderful place.
We have been in Thailand 14 timmes for holiday, both in the south, west and east Thailand, but Khao Lak is our favorite, and Ao Thong is our favorite Resort. Ao Thong - between White Sand and Smile - still has the best food in Khao Lak. The taste and flavouring are fantastic! The Staff always have à positive and friendly treatment. We love it here, both the place, the bungalow, the food and the staff😍
We stayed here for two nights this January. The resort was very nice and of course the USP is the location. It is right on the beach and the restaurant serves nice food on the beach. They have a stretch of beach exclusive to themselves and provide enough beach chairs and umbrellas for the guests to relax. The staff, under guidance of Mr. Nueng is extremely nice. They are always smiling and provide great support to the guests. There is a massage center right next to the Resort so you can relax there also. The food is good and ambiance beautiful. The rooms however are pretty basic. There is no phone in the room or room service. But since the resort ia small you can always go over to the restaurant for anything you need. All in all a very nice resort to spend a few days in solitude.
We have visited Ao Thong for many years for lunch at their beautiful restaurant and stayed here in the bungalows twice, this time was no exception, everything was just perfect from check in to check out We just returned home after spending the last 7 nights of our holiday in a large bungalow, after our first 7 nights at another hotel, and wished we had stayed here for the whole two weeks, it was just perfect and a lovely little paradise right on the gorgeous white sand beach, to wake up and have breakfast on the best beach in Khao Lak and finish the day with a beautiful sunset dinner and drinks with your feet in the sand is what holidays are made of, this truely made our holiday one of the best relaxed times we have had yet, just what we both needed We stayed in one of the larger bungalows, it is basic but clean and comfortable, it has a big comfy queen bed and a single bed, good a/c, big fridge, tv, big wardrobe/storage, block out curtains and tinted windows for privacy, a big lovely tiled bathroom, shower worked well with nice hot water, and a lovely big balcony, the rooms are serviced daily and the room was always done when we returned from breakfast with clean towels and sheets, the only thing I missed was being able to make my morning cuppa as there isn’t tea/coffee in the room but it’s no big deal really and if you ask I’m sure they will supply you with a jug and cups 😊 There are smaller single bungalows which look great too, a queen bed, a/c, good bathroom, storage/wardrobe, fridge, safe, and sitting area/table and two chairs, with a good balcony to chill out on, perfect for a couple, these are closer to the restaurant and beach There are newer family bungalows too which look great too Mr Nueng and his wife Nong are just lovely and the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, the staff are all great, friendly, happy and very attentive the food is really good and delicious, we didn’t have one bad meal, we ordered king prawns one day for the next night and they were just delicious (and massive) cooked to perfection, what more can you ask for over a special sunset dinner 😊 I can’t fault a thing and would highly recommend a stay here even if just for a couple nights while in Khao Lak or travelling through, you won’t be disappointed 😊 Thank you to all at Ao Thong see you again …
