Arriving in Arusha and resting here at the Lodge before and after the big safari was absolutely amazing. Mr Steward made us feel so welcome and accommodated our dietary needs on both occasions. I absolutely loved the unique idea of a movie night with a picnic hamper on Christmas Day Bravo! The smell of coffee when walking to your cabin. The luxurious bathrooms and bedrooms! The friendly staff. The evening sampling Tanzanian beers at the coffee shop whilst browsing their shanga workshop and seeing people given a chance to work woth art! Mind blowing. Keep it up.
We arrived at Arusha Coffee Lodge after a long flight from NYC. WE are spending two nights prior to the start of our safari at this lodge. The lodge is fantastic. Very large rooms that are actually individual cabins set amongst the coffee plantation, each with an outdoor seating area. The staff here is beyond exceptional. To a person their customer service is off the charts. We visited the shops on the property and met Bruno, a manager at one of the shops. In addition to being a big help with our purchases, we had a great conversation with him about the NBA and Premier League Soccer. We will be back to see him tomorrow. We also stopped into the rustic bar next to the Grill Room Restaurant and met Lucy, a great bartender (and our waitress for dinner). She was incredibly friendly and we loved our conversation with her. Definitely make this a pre- or post-safari stop. You won’t be disappointed. …
This property is quite nice for Arusha, and was a good one-night location before embarking on safari farther into Tanzania. Each room is its own individual cottage, with a private patio. The facilities and food are good. It's quite expensive, however, for what you get - particularly in light of where it is located in the world.
My husband and I forged ahead with our honeymoon plans in Tanzania and are so glad we did. We stayed at the Arusha Coffee Lodge for two nights at the beginning of our trip and it was the perfect way to kick it off - we didn't even leave the hotel grounds, but there was plenty to do for our brief 36 hour stay. We didn't arrive until late in the evening (around 10pm) and the staff was immediately wonderful - they gave us a beautiful suite complete with champange and a lovely fruit basket. Breakfast was delicious al fresco. We did the coffee tour which was really interesting and was incredible to have freshly roasted coffee grown on the grounds. We also had massages which were wonderful. The shops on the grounds were perfect for picking up souvenirs. The staff went out of their way to make our trip very special including running a bath with petals in in and our last day, the staff arranged a private breakfast for us by the pool which was so very special. In regards to Covid, we felt extremely safe - there was a temperature check when we arrived and sanitizer and many masks, even though everything we did was outside. Also, location wise, it is less than 5 minutes from the Arusha airport where we flew out of for our safaris. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting an enjoyable and relaxing way to kick off their Tanzania adventure!…
This lodge was the perfect entrance to Tanzania safari adventure. Centrally located between the international airport and local airstrip this gem of a hotel has private rooms which are mini-houses surprisingly opulent while very private. Soaking baths, large comfortable couches and private decks with outdoor fireplaces. The coffee plantation is all around you, between the rooms as well as the lodge which adds to your walks through the grounds. The local shops on site mean you truly do not need to leave the grounds to shop, eat or explore and the pool is beautiful. The hotel staff are attentive, polite, friendly and helpful as you ask too many questions that they likely hear from every customer! They even helped teach us Swahili! A perfect hotel to start and end your trip if flying through Kilimanjaro international.…
