Stayed here one night after a couple of long flights into Kilimanjaro. Very gracious staff, comfortable, quiet room & good breakfast. We appreciated the coffee bodum in the room. We had plantation room 11. There apparently is a pool at the lodge but we did not see it or hear

Spent 2 nights here in a plantation suite. One night too many as there is not much to do in Arusha. A lot of the staff seem disinterested but a few were genuinely happy to help. There is no A/C. WiFi is slow and terribly unreliable. Bathroom sink tends to overflow onto the

Good location, nice staff, good rooms, nice coffee shop, pleasant bar area. Food OK but not 5-Star. Some areas in need of some maintenance/face-lift. Given what we were charged (London fancy hotel prices) I feel it was marginal value.

We arranged at check in. We were told that the cost was US$1 per person. Don’t believe that. It cost US$30 per person. The tour was interesting and informative, but pricey. It’s your call if you are happy with that cost. We were ok with it, but winged to management as we had been misinformed.

By local standards, the restaurant is very good. T.I.A -- this is Africa. The outdoor setting for lunch was gorgeous, even by International standards. Must see kind of place.

Kilimanjaro Airport is a good hour away. I would definitely pre-arrange a ride. If someone tells you the airport is close they are likely thinking of the Arusha Airport. It is almost next door to the resort. However, it is likely that you will be arriving at Kilimanjaro if you are traveling internationally.

Our safari guide worked with the lodge. They stored the extra luggage that we had with us. I would contact your agent to confirm that they will do the same for you.
