A quiet setting, a bit off the beaten track, but attentive staff, and beautiful gardens. Highly recommended, totally relaxing. Good specification rooms and food is great quality. Look out for the monkeys and tortoises.

My wife and I stayed here before and after our safari trip. I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly (they recognized us the second time we went back after 5 days of safari), the food was good (try the breakfast pancakes), and each lodging or unit is separated by trees and plants, so you get a sense...

We stayed in the lodge one night prior to and one night after our climb of Kilimanjaro. The food was reasonable - not great but not bad. The rooms were nice - the lights a bit too dark - but facilities within the room were fine. Bed comfy - shower nice so and nothing really else worth mentioning apart from...

We only had one night here: a planned rest day as our first stop in Africa before going on safari. The lush gardens, walking tracks and pool (small and chilly but welcome!) made for a very pleasant location. No you wouldn't b able to walk to town or a local restaurant but we knew that when we booked. The staff,...

To echo what others have said, this lodge has a lot of potential but is in need of some important changes. First, the positive: the setting is very nice, with a lovely garden, pool and walking paths around the property in the foothills of Arusha. Blue monkeys inhabit the surrounding forest. The rooms are also cozy and clean, and there's...

The location of the hotel is bad! A long distance in the middle of... a garden? The rooms are old but clean. The swimming pool is very small and not so clean. Service is less, but especially the kitchen is not OK. The food is really bad! Also important: the food is so expensive! More than $72,00 for an 3-gang...

Moivaro lodge A driver picked us up at the airport after a 20-hour trip to Tanzania. Approaching the lodge, we turned off the main paved road onto a rutted dirt road filled with people and tired looking shops. We were somewhat apprehensive about what our accommodations would be like. We passed through the front guarded gate and rode up to...

The staff was wonderful, Anything was available when you asked except ice, but I got over it and spent the time in Africa drinking warm drinks. It was very relaxing, had 2 massages, learned to play Boi?, as well as had hot whenever I wanted. Food was very good and will go back if ever in Arusha.

Moivaro Lodge is nestled very few kms from Arusha town, just enough to be away from the chaos and noise of Arusha. Inf act, Moivaro has a fantastic garden with pool and amazing views of Mt Meru. The staff is friendly and helpful, food is great (snack menu offered throughout the day) and the rooms are spacious cottages ideal for...

I wish I had more positive a more positive review because the potential for a great experience is definitely there. The Hotel/Coffee Plantation is located just outside of Arusha - after traveling down a winding dirt road off a main thoroughfare. The grounds feature beautiful trees, plants, charming little cottages and swimming pool. Even the main lobby is conducive to...
