I stayed at the Arusha backpackers after completing a climb to kilimanjaro, and it was exactly what i needed after a long exhausting 7 days in the mountain. I had a single room, it was very small with a strong fan which was very useful in the heat of february. The size of the room was not an issue for... More

I slept in the room number 204. it is really narrow, there is no mosquito-net, the fan is really noisy and the room wasn't very clean, at night you can even see cockroaches walking around... Moreover, I book with the reception a taxi at 2:45 am to go to the airport. The taxi never arrive and i received no help... More

Had to chuckle at the previous comments. Yes we sat at the bar and ordered food and guess what. Yes you guessed it, they got the order wrong. But we chilled guys and ate it anyway. and the food and bar area are really nice. Bit difficult finding parking if you riding a vehicle. Otherwise pleasant stay

Rooms and showers are all quite fine but the rooftop bar is just horrible. Service is bad, waiters don't understand orders. Tried ordering food here about 6 times within 3 days. Out of these 6 there were always multiple things not availible, you always got it atleast 40 minutes late after ordering ( this includes just a mango juice). Tastes... More

It's clean and very basic - although it meets all the basic needs, I didn't find any reason to return here or recommend it to others, apart from the price. The rooftop bar was quiet and the service terrible when we were there. Wifi wasn't working, food was really bad. Not the friendly backpackers experience I'm used to. But the... More

One of my most favorite places to go when in Arusha. literally follows the description of a backpackers. (cheap, basic, and fun). The rooms are small, and there are only communal showers, but that is all you can ask for with such a reasonable price. The main selling point of this backpackers is the bar! It is by far one... Our room was pretty miserable - with a window onto the corridor which made it very dark and quite loud. We stayed here before and after a Safari, and it was a good place to meet other travellers - the rooftop bar was nice. HOWEVER, while on Safari I realised that $200 had gone missing from my money belt (money... More

Two Aussie girls backpacking through africa on a budget we got dropped off here from Nairobi. Outside is abit misleading but as you go inside the staff are really nice with Maasai worriers guarding the door! The double room was $20 inc. breakfast which was nice & there is a shoprite (huge supermarket) 1km down the road. We were born... More

This essentially came off as expected. The hostel is nice, with the main attraction for us being the rooftop bar/cafe which steals the evening sun - perfect for lounging on the couches and sipping a cool Kili. We paid $20 for a two-bed room with no windows. Room was suprisingly airy, had a fan and netted vents onto the corridor.... More

I stayed here for a night and I thought it wss pretty nice for a hostel! The rooms were clean and nice. There was a bar, seats and breakfast area upstairs where it was opened up which was beautiful. It overlooked arusha. I thought it was a very safe place for those travelling in small groups or alone as the... More
