A colonial style small hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms, huge bathrooms, free wifi, and a beautiful restaurant. Staff was courteous, friendly and very efficient. Landscaping around the hotel is lush. We were very tired after a long flight, so the African Tulip was the perfect place to restore our energy.

A very nice boutique hotel, the staff pays attention to everything. The rooms are big and decoration and bathroom has a delicate colonial taste Everything very clean, the breakfast and meals nice also. Internet goes quite well some times you need to reestart. Is a nice stop more thought for Safari beginning but also valid for working. As suggestion a... More

Excellent accommodations with staff always ready to be helpful. If not open, ask them to open the gift shop. It is tiny but has an excellent selection of Tanzania crafts with very reasonable prices, including the jewelry. Perfect spot for your take-home treasures. Our tour company was Unique Safari's and they were superb. Excellent English, and full of knowledge about... More

I've enjoyed numerous stays at the beautiful African Tulip in the last two years. This very beautiful, and authentic small hotel rates all of my highest kudos. The management by Anuj Sharma provides a well trained and gracious staff, rooms, dining and entertainment, and grounds experience from the moment you enter this oasis in a busy city. 👍👍

We stayed at the Tulip for one night, on the way back from our safari trip. The Zebra room was amazing. The service was excellent, and the restaurant really exceeded expectations (kind of European-Indian fusion. A great meal, and not very expensive). Not much to do in the hotel or around it, as far as we knew (they have a... More

We really liked this hotel, authentic and luxury. Food was great and the staff were helpful. They provided daily lunches with our safari trips. Safe, clean and worth it. We would stay here again. The dining experience was great. A combination of modern and traditional - all in one.

Superb service. The hotel manager, Mr. Anuj Sharma really knows a thing or two about hospitality. The rooms were clean and well managed. Food was excellent. The hotel is close to clock tower (10-15 mins walk). We only stayed there one night but wished we had stayed more. Roy Safari's office is next door. They are one of the well... More

We stayed here on our first night in Africa after a long plane ride, and it was a great "first night" experience in a foreign country. We were greeted with a nice drink juice and a very kind, attentive staff. Check in was without any issues and we were taken to a very nice room, with king size bed. Quite... More
