Stayed for two nights. I originally booked Meci Hotel which is very near to the Hualien Station. Based on fellow Travellers' review and photos, the rooms look clean and modern. And the price was really good at about SGD80 per night for twin sharing with breakfast. I decided to change to Lakeside Hotel for somewhere less populated and because I...

The moment you enter the room you feel that this is right. Large room and spacious and modern bathroom. The bed is really fantastic: it feels like you are lying on a cloud, and very, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast offers a good choice. We had a pleasant dinner at Saltlick downtown (a taxiride back to the hotel...

Pros: 1) Really nicely done rooms with great views (We ended up with a room on the 8th floor and I've no reasons to complain) 2) A standalone bathtub that faces the window and provides stunning views 3) Very well trained and polite English speaking staff 4) The wifi and other in room amenities were well taken care of Cons:...

After 6 hours bus trip from Kaohsiung, we stayed at this hotel for a good nights rest. The room is clean, Twin bed is small, but it is comfortable and room is spacious. Staffs are helpful. Breakfast is good for Japanese people.

No safe, some amenities are missing, staff at counter has this constant grumpy look however, the hotel is decent for the price. We had dinner over the western restaurant and it is a absolute disappointment however we had no choice as there was a super typhoon when we were staying over. On the plus side, the room is clean, neat,...

Although the hotel is far away from downtown, they have free shuttle bus to pick up the guest from train station. There are many nice and cheap restaurant nearby the hotel, such as "魯豫小館", “基利心扁食", "家curry". The staff are helpful and super nice!! I think that's the most important thing!

We stayed here for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, staff were all very helpful and polite, even if their English was very limited but that didn't matter. We were made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet - some Western style food available like toast, rolls, some cereals,...

The best element about this hotel i it provides taxi pickup and drop offs from and to hualien train station, which makes things much easier for travellers unfamiliar with the region. The sauna in the hotel is also fairly large and clean, and not crowded even on the weekend I visited. The rooms well maintained with large with very comfortable...

We slept two nights at the Lakeshore Hotel in Hualien and we had an excellent stay. The room was big and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful allthough not all spoke English. The breakfast buffet was a bit on the Chinese side for my taste, but they did have coffee, corn flakes, fresh fruit, toast, butter and...

Cons: Tourist groups haunt this hotel all the time. Big buses flanking the street in the front of it. The breakfast area is huge but very crowded during peak hours. We had even to wait in queue for food, which was simply average in terms of quality and variety. Elevators are very, very, very slow. Only three elevators available. And...
