The rooms are beautifully decorated. There is nothing to pick on regarding cleanliness. The hosts are very friendly and helpful too. Love the place and would definitely return to Hualien Sunrise on our next visit. The hostel also provides day tours to Taroko Gorge with the owner Paul as the guide. He is very knowlegeable.

Upside: VERY clean and very comfortable. Fantastic value for the price. Great WiFi, interesting room designs, basic toiletries provided. Everything in the room works. Downside: Thin walls and doors, so you hear everything outside (noisy neighbours may keep you up). Service was friendly and helpful enough, but there was often nobody available at the front desk. Nitpicking: There is no...

We stayed here for 3 nights with a work colleague as part of a week during a business trip (but we went to Hualien purely for leisure). The place is very nice, with tastefully decorated rooms. It is a small b&b with maybe 10 rooms or so, run by a very nice couple. The man also happen to be a...

The people running this B&B are great! It's a small quaint place with free wifi in the rooms. The location is alright but not fantastic. It is in walking distance to the Ziqiang Night Market but quite far away from the railway station where the city is. It'd be pretty important to either rent a car or have a taxi...

Absolutely fantastic! Would recommend to anyone traversing to Hualien even for a night or so! Sensitive innkeeper Rachel who offered free pick-up whenever she could. Has excellent networks of guides to bring guests to Taroko, Coast tour and even fun things to do. Has ZiQiang night market within walking distance (200-300m) which offered great streetfares! I'd return again if the...

Great hosts in a hualien minsu, offering thoughtfully designed rooms of different themes to suit different clientele. Free pick up from and send off to train station and great help in planning itinerary. The hosts made a great difference by making our trip seamless -no time wasted yet experiencing the best of hualien at a relaxed pace.

The room was beautiful, comfortable and well-lit, with wifi for internet surfing. Although the homestay is not in the town area, Rachel was really kind to pick us up from the train station and even drive us out to a restaurant to get our dinner. Not much shopping in the vicinity, but it is within walking distance to a nice...
