Had an enjoyable and restful stay at Bushbaby Lodge. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Rooms are exceptionally clean, plus there's an outdoor shower. In the estate, there is a Golf course, cycling or running route. Plenty of interesting bird life to see. Definitely worth a visit.
We had a great weekend at Bushbaby! Lovely setting and just overall great lodge. Rooms are very modern, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, great size portions and Trevor was a friendly face. Thank you Lindo & Brenda - we will definitely be back soon!!
Very peaceful place, you can actually hear your own thoughts. To Lindo and Brenda, thank you very much for the hospitality. Although we got there very late, everything was smooth. Was looking forward to use your outside showers but then the weather didnt play along. The clubhouse, breakfast, awesome! Definately coming back with my boys for a round of Golf. They even have WIFI vouchers, so, for anyone who likes staying connected, they have you covered. Beautiful place!
I left Bushbaby with mixed feelings. And here is why: The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is serene, and the room is super clean and adequate size. The bathroom with outdoor shower is super cool. The place is in a guarded estate with Nkonyeni Golf estate. However, it was my bad luck that they were remodeling one of the rooms right next to me during my stay which was a bit noisy. Then the wifi (i am not sure if it’s a permanent thing or not) was terrible, I live in eastern DRC and I have 10 times better connection! Upon arrival you have to sign a terms and conditions document, which i never saw in any other place so far (basically discharging all the responsibility of the establishment for any losses you might have but you being responsible for any damages you might incur to the place). I am not sure if my question about the legality of signing such document went understood as the management suggests there should be no problem with the valuables of the clients, and I keep insisting then why ask to sign such document? The place is more like a bed and breakfast. For lunch and dinner you have to go to the Club house which is 700 meters distance, so no big deal except when there is torrential rain, at that point the place is not able to offer you any possibility to move around (except you can rent a golf cart for 35 USD for 2 days!). Talking about transportation, the place is about 25 km distance to Manzini (the capital) and 75 km to the new airport. Upon arrival, there is no other means but either rent a car and find your way to the location or hire a taxi (which I did), which costs arm and a leg! I didn’t rent a car so I was practically stranded in the hotel. So if you want to move around and see the town, etc. You either have to rent a car, or not stay in this place. This last part is no fault of the hotel, it’s just a general problem in Eswatini I believe. For conclusion, if you want to have a quiet, relaxing short vacation this is the place, if you avant to move around and be in the heart of town, probably not the best selection…
My husband and I love time at Bushbaby, whether for a relaxing time in the lawnchairs with coffee or luxury overnight stays. For breakfast they have the best secret sauce recipe for shakshusa. Top quality place with best service. Surrounded by a golf course, there’s excellent places to walk and dinner can be had at a nearby restaurant. A+
