We enjoyed our stay at the Sentido Heritance Hotel Negombo. We were given a good welcome being handed two chilled glasses of juice to cool us down. The check in process was quick and easy and soon we were being shown to our room. The room was bright and spacious with a small balcony having a table and chairs, with a lovely view of the swimming pool bellow and the Ocean beyond. The room was well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for those all important bottles of Lion beer. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The rain shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Our room was cleaned and service and all the toiletries replenished each day during our four night stay. The all inclusive breakfast was good with plenty of choice, again with a wonderful view across the Ocean. The only downside was the cost of drinks and meals in the restaurant. The cost of the Lion beers at the swim up bar were exorbitant. We had spent eight weeks travelling in Sri Lanka and know exactly what a Lion beer should cost and the cost at the Sentido Heritance Hotel Negombo is the highest by far. To top it all there are additional costs hidden in the small print of the menu. 10.00% service charge and 18.00% Government Taxes, which increases the stated menu price by 30.00%. No wonder your restaurants and bars are empty.
However, we did buy four iced coffees from the swim up bar to find that they were inciped with hardly a hint of coffee bean amongst them. They were awful for the price we'd paid.
We cut our loses and like all your other guests we are out at the local restaurants, but with that in mind we still enjoyed our time at the hotel which was purely for rest and relaxation before returning to the rigours of home life.

This was our first trip to Sri Lanka and following an 8 day tour we stayed at the Heritance to relax and rest before going home.
We came to celebrate my husband’s 60 th birthday year.
The staff are very welcoming, helpful and always ready to assist in making our stay comfortable and providing helpful advice.
The reception staff are great when it was raining they saw us across the road and ran out to provide us with umbrellas. The gesture was so kind we really appreciated it.
The rooms are as advertised. Luxurious clean and most importantly cool. Views of the sea and pool were beautiful. The room was well stocked with water and toiletries which were replenished daily and the cleaners were meticulous when refreshing the room.
The food was a taste sensation with a variety of meals to choose from. The Sri Lankan cuisine was the best it’s obvious the chefs takes pride in their work, they kindly adjusted the spice to my taste so it wasn’t too hot. The best food we have experienced.
The See Lounge was a great place to relax and again the bar staff really looked after us sharing the Sri Lankan culture and knowledge of this wonderful island when we asked about it.
I would highly recommend the hotel. The staff are second to none. I must mention the pool bar staff and spa girls. Nothing is too much trouble. Hopefully I will get the chance to return to this beautiful country until then lovely memories of a beautiful stay.

I had a great stay here after my guided holiday. The hotel is very well appointed with at least 3 restaurants, a pool with a bar where you can sit and soak, plenty of shade and sun beds for those seeking to relax, the beach just beyond the lawns and fence and security to keep the area hawker free. The beach is Sandy, the sea a bit like a warm bath with gentle rollers and a flag system to say if it’s safe to swim. Not as good a beach as those further south. Boat trips in the Lagoon nearby are available. The spa is great, offering a variety of treatments. I had a fab meal in the Middle Eastern restaurant over the road, and a couple in the main one. Buffet and A la carte both offered. Lighter meals by the pool.

We stayed at the Heritance for 12 nights and had an amazing time with superior, attentive service. The amenities at the Hotel are first class and well maintained and I must say that the staff are a credit to the Hotel proving a real personal service from the GM down. All are eager to help and nothing is too much. The location is stunning and we had a beautiful sea view from our room which was impeccably maintained and refreshed by the Hotel every day!
We stayed half board and the breakfast menu was varied and delicious with a daily Sri Lankan option- highly recommended!
We particularly liked that unlike other Hotels in the area where we had stayed previously, the breakfast is served to the table from a menu by the amazing team of waiters. Weekends a buffet breakfast is provided.
I would highly recommend staying at the Heritance and look forward to visiting again!

We enjoyed four nights here on arriving in SL. Very relaxing place on the Beach with great views. We enjoyed the pool although more sunbeds maybe needed. Excellent gym with everything you need. The rooms have all you need with comfortable beds and great showers. WiFi good. We also did experience a very nosy wedding but we did manage to sleep. The road outside is not noisy. The breakfast choice is excellent and staff very helpful. The bar upstairs is dark and awful seating and on the public holiday was closed so meant no where to sit in the evening which was stupid( the drink can be removed ) This hotel had no where to enjoy a light lunch or snack / coffee during the day on ground floor only the main restaurant and if you are in beach clothes it’s not nice for other guests. Location wise is great and you can walk to many bars and local restaurants .

This is the largest and probably the best hotel in Negombo. Told it is about 6 years old. Used by many tour groups. Lovely staff and facilities. Outlooks onto a huge clean beach, has a lovely pool, amazing evening outlook from the bar on Level 2 and nice views of the seaside form the ground floor restaurant. Rooms clean and comfortable. Only two things that could improve. For some odd reason housekeeping does not supply hand towels even though we booked for 2 days. As there was a large Indian wedding happening the next day the restaurant had run out of many restaurant items due to lack of prep. This was a bad experience and management should not allow this to happen as guests are paying for a good experience - not excuses why meals are not available. Just down the street is tuk tuk drivers so we paid LKR2000 for a 1 hour tourist trip around Negombo which was informative and a fun way way to see the local sights. Everything is okay with this hotel but just warning guests not to click on links in messages asking for credit card verification and variants. Unfortunately the message interface with Booking dot com has been hacked and a scammer is trying to get peoples credit card details through various hotels. We got caught by this scam even though we entered our password into the correct website. The message looks like it is coming from a hotel but it isn't so please be careful. Phone the hotel directly and they will be very nice and reassure you that your reservation is okay. We paid on arrival. We stayed at Heritance Hotel Negombo for two days and loved our stay.

We stayed for just one night before starting our tour of Sri Lanka. It is difficult to judge a hotel after only one night but overall, the hotel seemed quite good and would happily of stayed for a few more days. We had a deluxe room on the ground floor with doors opening onto the gardens and with a sea view. The room was reasonably well equipped, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. After a long flight we did not feel that we would do justice to the buffet in the main restaurant so opted to sit in the bar and order some snacks. The bar is on the top level of the hotel and has a lovely sea view and being west facing it is ideal to see the sunset. The snacks we ordered were tasty and the spicy calamari had a good kick!. Prices were reasonable. On return to our room there was a cockroach, but I kicked it down the corridor and didn’t see another. Breakfast was good and as we had refillable water bottles the staff were good enough to fill these up with filtered water to take with us. As everywhere we went in Sri Lanka all of the staff we met were very friendly, so it was a nice start to our holiday.

This hotel has the longest beachfront I have ever seen. The blue of the sea, the bright green of the grass, and the beach in between create the most beautiful and peaceful view for the eyes to feast on while the taste buds feast on the delicious food the hotel offers. The rooms are spotless, the bed very comfy and the staff! The staff is amazingly kind, helpful, and caring! I will recommend this place without any hesitation. The only thing I wish they would improve is limiting their plastic use. If the shampoo and lotion bottles in the rooms and the water bottles can be out of something more sustainable, this place will knock things out of the park! Right outside the hotel, the street was lined with restaurants specializing in all kinds of cuisine- Italian, Western, Mediterranean and Sri Lankan. There was a gelato place, coffee shops- so there is no shortage of options for food. The street comes alive with music in the evenings and completes the holiday mood. I will definitely visit again!

Stayed Nov 4th & 5th Nov 2023. Big NO to this horrible hotel if you are looking for 5-star experience paying 5 star category price. Room is small 3star hotels rooms are bigger than this then you have to brush inside the room because sink is in the middle of the room. If you use the toilet you have to come to the room to wash your hand. They let smoke every where basically you have to roam around to find a safe place so that your toddler can breath safe air. Tasteless food no variation. Don't waste money.
