We booked Ayubowan very last minute after another property cancelled us due to Coronavirus and deciding to be nearer the airport should our flight get cancelled. Property is very convenient for the airport, safe, really clean and run by an English couple, who were very attentive in a difficult period. However if you’re looking for a Sri Lankan experience this isn’t the place for you...breakfast was served with potato smileys and fish and chips was a dinner option, although not compulsory and we did get another choice. We did feel the attitude of Ron towards our Sri Lankan driver and my friend who had gone above and beyond to help us on the holiday, was rude and unwelcoming. It did make us feel uncomfortable and we choose to leave early, to which they were very accommodating. Bonnie and Clyde the dogs are cute and the cosy grounds lovely, but stay for a home from home quick stop only in my opinion.

I only stayed here for one night to get my flight back the next morning. The english owners are really very friendly and helpful people! The rooms are very clean and very well looked after! You cant compare this standard to the most hotel rooms on Sri Lanka! Unfortunately i stayed for just one night. Can give a high recommendation! Thank you

I recently spent three days relaxing in this perfect small guesthouse before beginning a two week cycle trip through Sri Lanka. The hosts Brenda and Ron were very friendly and chatty which was much appreciated since I was travelling alone. Rooms are clean and comfortable, an excellent breakfast is served in the garden and there is a lovely pool to relax by in the hot afternoons. It's in a quiet yet very convenient location. Great value and highly recommended.
