There are a few things I did like about this hotel. For the most part the staff were very nice, there were excellent cocktails which are reasonably priced (although beware prices don’t include tax unlike most places so they seem cheaper than they are) and the room was clean and comfortable. Also on the weekend they do a street food thing across from the hotel where the food is really authentic (read ferociously spicy), super tasty and cheap. Overall though I was not a fan. We stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip. Firstly I just didn’t like the area, I wish we had gone back to Colombo. The beach is fine but full of hawkers and mosquitoes. The biggest thing that put me off was my experience by the pool. My husband was going to the gym (which is in the other hotel) so I went to sit by the pool. As others have mentioned none of the loungers are actually on hotel property, all on the beach and although there are palm trees they do not provide full shade. Getting towels I had to speak to the attendant who gave me the 3rd degree on who I was, if I was a stewardess, where my friends were etc, not in an accusatory way, just really creepy. The towels themselves were gross by the way, totally threadbare and filthy. So already uncomfortable I went to sit down (with the attendant still hovering trying to talk to me) and realised a hawker was already making her way towards me trying to engage. I felt so uncomfortable on my own I just packed pack up and left and hid in the room until my husband came back. At breakfast they were doing the set menu thing which I find very odd as surely there is more waste that way as people have to order more to get the selection they want. They did give us the option to go next door to the jetwing blue buffet which we did, but again you have to run the gauntlet of hawkers. Overall as I said I would much rather have been back in Colombo. The 30 min transfer time you save is not worth staying in the hotel or area in my opinion.…
Rooms were smelly and a lot of mosquitos were flying around. Most of the things were half broken, like plugs and the door to the bathroom. Staff is friendly and helpful, beach and location are nice. But for the price you can easily get a better hotel around
We stayed one night in this hotel before our flight back home. We were tempted by the nice reviews and photos of the pool and the beach. The reality was grim - the hotel could be 3 sta le at best - it is extremely rundown. The rooms are gloomy, dark, damp And horribly old. The beach is a no better place to be - old and broken deck chairs and stained cushions. Stray dogs and crows add to the ambience. Sellers are constantly trying to sell products at the beach. The restaurant and the food offered at the beach are average - the chairs and tables are so old and badly maintained that the whole place make u only happier when it comes time to leave. And all that for 140 dollars per night without breakfast - this is one of the worst hotels I have been to - AVOID!!!!
We stayed at this hotel at the end of December 2022 and were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. The hotel was clean, beds were very comfortable, food was excellent and facilities were great. Will definitely use this hotel again
Thank u to Ravindra and his team for giving us a great time at Jetwing Beach.love to thank our two Butlers Sumith and Kasun for a great service.FB manager Mr Bandara and his team.thank u again for the Great Hospitality. We had a great relaxing stay.
Kudos to Sumith who was the butler for us for his exceptional guest service, care and attention to detail. Surely made our stay much much more wonderful. Amazing! Restaurant operations have to improve. No other complaints.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night at the beginning of our honeymoon in early November 2022. We stayed in a superior room which was very spacious and had a very large impressive bathroom, also. The staff were all very friendly. A theme we encountered throughout our Sri Lankan adventure. The food was also very good. Normally served as a buffet, we had a set menu evening meal and breakfast due to the low numbers of occupants in the hotel at the time. But we were immediately wowed by the flavour of the food. Despite booking just the one night we would recommend this hotel. It was just a short 30 minute drive from Bandaranaike Airport.
Great first stop after a long flight. Hotel close to airport. Easy check in, staff very friendly and they couldn’t do enough for us. Great facilities and our room over looked the beach. Food quality good with plenty of choice. The hotel was quiet as tourism hasn’t really picked up again since the pandemic which is a shame as Sri Lanka has so much to offer it’s visitors.
Good hotel located in beach of the Negombo. Close proximity to Colombo international airport and negombo town. Foods are good and test. Staff are good and helpful. Ambiance is good. Good beach. Are is full with hotels and restaurants and good for tourists
