I feel as though I must have stayed in a different hotel to that of other reviewers. My experience was only 1 night but very good overall. Firstly, the hotel is not busy but also not deserted as are some other places in Sri Lanka. My room was a fairly standard size with balcony looking out to sea through the palm trees. The only thing that I didn't like was the strange glass enclosed tub sticking out the side of the bathroom. Even though I was alone in the room and there were blinds for the glass panels it still seemed too exposed. That said the bathroom was still user friendly with a very large shower stall and many toiletries stored in reusable glass bottles or in cloth bags. There was also filtered water in reusable glass bottles.
The bed was huge and comfortable and the room also contained a bag stand, minibar, ironing board, kettle and mini coffee press and a couple of lounge chairs. There were chairs and a table on the balcony. The A/C was very good as was the wifi and my floor at least was very quiet. Power cuts are very common in Sri Lanka and the hotel was no exception but the power was back on within a few minutes suggesting that there is a good generator back up system.
I used the restaurant only for breakfast where there was a good buffet with lots of choices including both waffles/pancakes and eggs cooked to order. There are 3 different pools outside including 1 under cover plus a small sandy beach area with loungers. I checked these out immediately after breakfast and at that time did not see the intrusive dogs and vendors reported by other guests. Finally, the building design is lovely and very much in keeping with the environment.
I would be very happy to return to the Beach Hotel to spend a longer period there.

We recently spent a night at the Jetwing Beach, Negombo. It is relatively close to the airport and was the starting point of our trip. Its an incredibly welcoming hotel with an amazing view of the beach (and we were lucky to be able to watch the local fishermen at work in the morning), beautiful interior design, a well-maintained, clean pool and hospitable staff. Most impressively (and as we subsequently learnt, like all other Jetwing establishments) the hotel makes a commendable effort at sustainability with no use of disposable plastic throughout the rooms. There is a strong and genuine sense and awareness of being environmentally friendly. We would certainly have Jetwing Beach on our list hotels for our next trip to Sri Lanka and would most certainly recommend this great hotel to anyone who is after a family-friendly, eco-friendly hotel in Negombo.

Our family spend the new year 2022 weekend at this hotel.
When we came to check in front office staff did a excellent job, well done. Front office staff & Ms.Kishali will go that extra mile to make your stay very comfortable.
Suite Rooms are quite big & very clean with a bathtub as well.
The 31st night was very well organized & there GALA dinner is really value for money.
All other meals also very good & testy too. Bar is very well stocked with all what you need & the bartender is very experience you will not be disappointed with his service.

Pool is so dirty. avoid if possible I don’t think this pool cleaned for weeks, we went for a swim & we were wearing the Swimming Goggles so we saw the pool bottom.
Pool attendance are irresponsible they will move your belongings from the one beach bead to another & give that bed to someone, this happens to us.
Be extra careful with your belongings public move around this beach a lot & the pool attendant will not be there all the time.
Pool towels are dirty & so old, this hotel also haven for the day outing crowd so they go to pool with all sort of clothes including pants, since pool attendant don’t care as long as he get a tip.
You must forget the pool & the beach both are so dirty our children didn’t go to the pool or beach bit disappointed. Beach is very dangerous to swim lot of sea currents be very careful.
Room service staff is very good they will do a very good job, sometimes food leftovers laying on the walkway for few hours, which is pretty bad.
Every Sunday this hotel organizing a good market on the car park right in front of the hotel, so hotel will ask to move your vehicle on Saturday evening so you must move your vehicle to another location which is a very terrible issue. This happens only on Saturday.
This hotel need urgent refurbishment.

Jetwing hotels are a sustainable brand, living and breathing the needs of our environment and the impact certain luxuries can have on the world, with that said it’s hard to complain about their ethics and their entire vibe breathes the same concept.
The room was glorious, a gorgeous glass walled bathroom, water in glass bottles as they have their own distiller but right on the beach front and a fruit platter.
We only stayed here for the one night before our flight from Colombo to Male.
The only thing to mention is the hotel set up is quite confusing, there is very little info on where to go for the likes of dinner and we assumed it was buffet style like our other Sri Iankan hotels, however not the case, we found out it was a sit down four course meal, which by the way is not a complaint, it was amazing and nice to try food that we wouldn’t have necessarily picked if it was offered up on a buffet!
The food at the beach bar was also incredible! Along with the variety of drinks/cocktails offered.
When we checked in and out we were asked for a voucher that Kuoni should have sent us in our booklet, slightly concerning but thankfully our driver and the hotel sorted this out immediately and when we returned back to our room they had left us two scrumptious cupcakes and chocolates, I can only assume as a gesture, bless them!
Again only mention was around not knowing the dinner setup but it didn’t harm as such - it was more the feeling of the unknown and feeling a bit of a spare part.
I think the reception area could do with a little spruce up too, compared to the rooms it doesn’t quite feel the same!

We arrived here for a day/ night after our long flight before travelling to Habana. We had a lovely welcome and the room we had was really nice with a sea view, comfy bed and jacuzzi bath! We spent the day on the beach which was lovely ( the pool area was nice too). Cocktails in the pool bar at sunset-the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food/drink was very reasonably costed same as outside the hotel. Good location close to a nice restaurant and bars. Would definitely return to this hotel

The Beach is an excellent start to a journey around Sri Lanka. Beautifully located and with breathtaking views. My brother and I visited December 2019 for 3 nights - my brother is an adult with autism and i had no reservations about him being comfortable at the Beach. The rooms are impeccable, the pools pristine, the beach is a dream and the food is divine. All of his (and my)dietary requirements were met keenly and without hesitation. Often when visiting the buffet i would be advised what was in each dish which showed the excellent team work of the restaurant and kitchen staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Chef Kolitha which put us at so much ease to not have to worry about my brothers or my meals. The range of the buffet and the quality of ingredients is out of this world. By far my favourite kitchen in Sri Lanka (after my dad's). The staff are accommodating and very pleasant. The spa is quality - i had reflexology and a head massage. Many many thanks to Mrs. Hyacinth for all her help and understanding.
Cannot recommend the Beach enough.

Stayed here on our first night in Sri Lanka. Located on a lovely beach, the hotel has excellent amenities. Couldn’t fault our room and the sunken bath was a delight after a long journey. The bar offers a good service and you can eat here should you wish. Breakfast had a wide range of options including an egg station and Sri Lankan cuisine. The Point restaurant was very disappointing as, basically it was a grill offering burger and chips, pizzas and pasta. As the hotel is conveniently situated near a number of restaurants, we opted for a short walk and enjoyed a lovely Sri Lankan meal at reasonable prices.

There are a few things I did like about this hotel. For the most part the staff were very nice, there were excellent cocktails which are reasonably priced (although beware prices don’t include tax unlike most places so they seem cheaper than they are) and the room was clean and comfortable. Also on the weekend they do a street food thing across from the hotel where the food is really authentic (read ferociously spicy), super tasty and cheap. Overall though I was not a fan. We stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip. Firstly I just didn’t like the area, I wish we had gone back to Colombo. The beach is fine but full of hawkers and mosquitoes. The biggest thing that put me off was my experience by the pool. My husband was going to the gym (which is in the other hotel) so I went to sit by the pool. As others have mentioned none of the loungers are actually on hotel property, all on the beach and although there are palm trees they do not provide full shade. Getting towels I had to speak to the attendant who gave me the 3rd degree on who I was, if I was a stewardess, where my friends were etc, not in an accusatory way, just really creepy. The towels themselves were gross by the way, totally threadbare and filthy. So already uncomfortable I went to sit down (with the attendant still hovering trying to talk to me) and realised a hawker was already making her way towards me trying to engage. I felt so uncomfortable on my own I just packed pack up and left and hid in the room until my husband came back. At breakfast they were doing the set menu thing which I find very odd as surely there is more waste that way as people have to order more to get the selection they want. They did give us the option to go next door to the jetwing blue buffet which we did, but again you have to run the gauntlet of hawkers. Overall as I said I would much rather have been back in Colombo. The 30 min transfer time you save is not worth staying in the hotel or area in my opinion.

I came alone home with a special flight to colombo Then stayed 14 days compulsory quarantine period in hotel Jet wing beach hotel. It was not easy to stay in a hotel room without going out. I do understand the Sri Lankan government's concern about the situation. Hotel staff was very helpful and doing their maximum to make us comfortable. I must mention; Miss. Menuka, Mrs. Hyacinth the general manager, Miss Anne Dais called me time to time to ask if I feel better and if I need any other thing to make my self comfortable. Also (I regret that really I wanted to meet him in person before leave but, unfortunately during check out I was busy .) hotel's chef called me to ask if I have any special requests. About Room service staff too fantastic. Each morning and evening they knocked the door to check if we need any thing such as tea, coffee apart from servings meals to the rooms. And also the first day the A/C was too cold I didn't have any idea how to adjust it. they were not allowed to come inside the room . Any how Room service explained me how the turn the front grill of the A/C; I was managed to do it . it was 10.30 pm but another two staff members came with a ladder and knocked my door wearing like "astronauts" thinking that if I couldn't do it they wanted to take the risk even that time they didn't know if I was contaminated or not. I could see the people moving on beach jogging, exercising and special thanks to armed army personals around the hotel for our security 24hrs. we could sleep even the doors open with peace of mind. Beach was 100meters away. I could see Three swimming pools they maintain everyday but not allowed to swim. I came alone this time not a pleasure trip but sure I will come back with my family when the pandemic is over. And highly recommended for the kind hospitality of whole hotel staff. All the work you all have done was appreciated very much. Keep up the good work guys!!

Rooms are very clean and good in space, environment is so cool. They have used glass bottles for drinking water, which effectively conserve environment sustainability. And they supply enough drinking water throughout the stay.
