This was the perfect place to begin our stay in Sri Lanka upon arriving at 2:30am after 22 hours of travel. They picked us up in the middle of the night and welcomed us warmly upon arrival. Told us not to worry how long we slept, breakfast could be served anytime. After a few hours of sleep, Damid arranged a tuk tuk for us to see the fish market and he also arranged our transport to Kandy for later in the day.

This resort is am excellent place to stay. It is comfortable and beautiful. It is so comfortable and cute. The staff are superb and so friendly. It felt more like home. The food and drinks were great. I would love to go back soon.

Over the years we have stayed here many many times. It is one of our favourite places. The staff are ALL superb and the whole atmosphere is terrific. Comfortable accommodation and a great breakfast. Now longing to return again

We stayed here on arrival in Sri Lanka. The resort is amazing (pool and room especially) the staff really friendly and the breakfast amazing. It was a lovely relaxing way to spend our first few nights. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so special.

So a review for Dickman Resort? it’s easy – It’s Excellent! I recently stayed 15 nights and enjoyed every minute. Checked in at 19:30 and the staff took my bags to the room ‘Mango Suite’. I finally made it to my room at 01:00 because I was having a drink and talking with the staff all that time, such a warm welcome and an excellent introduction to Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious and clean. The garden and pool and well kept. I cannot think of a bad comment to make. The breakfast, as most people have commented on, is fabulous. BUT….Its the staff... if you want to stay in a hotel where you are treated like gold, then this is the place to go. After just 4 days I posted this on my FB account: ‘I’ve stayed in Intercontinental’s, Hilton, Raddison, Marriott, Best Western along with a lot of other hotels but this has got to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in’ The feeling is just the same now, cannot wait to go back. Very difficult to sum the Dickman up - for highly positive reasons! PLUSSES: Super friendly staff - Damith, Danushka, Treshan and their colleagues make you feel like family, and happily sort out any needs. Great hotel building, designed by Sri Lankan architect Dilan Holsinger. Clean and smart rooms. Large bathrooms. Excellent breakfasts by Indika to look forward to every morning. Located in the nicer part of Negombo - a few minutes' walk to Negombo Beach and the shops of Porotota Road. MINUSES: None. Indika even whipped up a lovely dinner (with lime and coconut cake) for my birthday! All round, a unique place to stay. Can't wait to relax there again.

Spent my last four nights here after a nine week trip.A true boutique hotel- quirky, small, tasteful with great service. Everywhere you look there’s something beautiful to see. Don’t come if you want anodyne predictability. I stayed in the fabulous ‘Pink Room’, super comfy bed, massive balcony, all you could ask for. The staff were absolutely top class, I could have stayed for months. Fantastic large pool. Legendary breakfasts and will make whatever you ask for. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful room, super-comfy bed and large balcony. Pool & grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Staff very attentive and friendly. Adults only policy an absolute bonus!! Ask the Chef for his Dahl at breakfast. Highly recommend this place if you are starting your travels in Negombo.

From the time we arrived until the moment we departed 5 days later we were looked after by every one of the staff members! We stayed in the purple room, which we would recommend to anyone who ever wants to visit. There was no request to weird , to much to ask or in possible …. They assisted us with all our PCR tests for our departure, really a fantastic team they’ve got! On our next trip we will go straight there as they are close to the airport, all the necessary information and services needed.
