The room and reception by host were exactly what we were after. Perched on the beach, cheap accommodation, basic standards. The only issue was the incredible number of mosquitos in our room, I have genuinely never seen this many. But we were given a coil to burn and did have a net to fend them off. The host was very...

Super friendly staff. Reasonably priced and right on the beach! Room was clean and mattress was very doable. Food is made with care, although a bit overpriced but that goes for pretty much every place for food in Negombo. It might take a while before it's ready so don't wait to order until you're hungry. All the best, Tijs

There was nothing truly horrible about Seahouse, but it wasn't great. Dark and damp room, holes in the mozzie net, and a serious and surly older man greeting you at reception. Not quite the friendly greeting you might be looking for if you've just arrived in Sri Lanka, and which you'll receive all over the rest of the country! The...

My husband and I stayed at the Seahouse for two nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka holiday. The Seahouse guest house is the perfect place for the low budget or rucksack traveler. It is a straightforward, simple but clean guest house. It is very conveniently located not far from the international airport. It is also situated right on...

Beach Beach Beach!!! Nice place near the beach to catch some sun before you go back. The breakfast was amazing (the Englisch and Sri Lankan). The tortillas were delicious! They treat you like family and really look out for you. The mosquito net was very nice because it was a square. The location was nice because you can easily go...

We started and ended our three-week Sri Lanka tour at Seahouse, due to the excellent hospitality of Shanaka. A group of 7, we needed some help finding a driver and all, and he went out of his way to help us find the greatest driver. The hotel is a no-frills place, in a good location with the back garden overlooking...
