Anne is a very nice host and our family with two small kids was made very comfortable during our stay. We got a spacious room with a newly done bathroom. Place is very tranquil and away from tourist hotspots which would be ideal if you have a car. Will probably revisit next time we are in Galle.

Anne and her family have a wonderful home and I had a great time during my 2 weeks there! I've tried a lot of accommodations around Sri Lanka and this one was the most homey and welcoming one! My favourite time of the day was the breakfast! You can also order delicious dinner. A must stay especially for students working...

I was staying with Anne for a couple of weeks while doing an internship in the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. She and her family are incredibly welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home from the beginning. The house is situated in a beautiful and peaceful garden where Anne and Mahen serve their excellent breakfast every morning. If you wish...

My friend and I stayed at the Anne's maisonette 2 nights. Anne and her family were very nice and friendly to us. The bed room upstairs is spacious, clean and peaceful. It's a lovely place if you need some rest. We had our best Sri Lankan food and breakfast for a lovely price. I definitely recommend this guest house !

Anne and her family are welcoming and incredibly friendly. They made us feel at home the whole trip, are very well connected and able to organise and cater to all their guests needs. The accommodation includes a great little breakfast and for a small fee extra you can taste some of the best SriLankan food in Galle, made by Anne's...

I stayed with Anne and her family for two months while working in the area and I had an absolutely amazing time! The apartments are clean, spacious and just an incredible value if you compare it to other places in Unawatuna or Galle Fort. The location is perfect if you want to discover Galle and the surrounding area, but still...

We booked Anne's Maisonette because we are two female students on a budget and read previous reviews which sounded great. However, as lovely as Anne was herself, this is not for the average traveller who wants somewhere comfortable and clean to stay. First off it is about 30mins by tuc tuc from anything remotely central. You feel very far out...

What can I say...the Ratwatte family is a wonderful one. So helpful and funny. To wake up in these surroundings with a breakfast deluxe is a delight! You can also find some cheap and very tasty food close by. And there's a supermarket nearby as well. Anne and her family are also superb guides when it comes to Sri Lankan...

I booked this room through Agoda thinking it was much closer to the beach/Galle/Unawatuna and on first realisation that it is actually quite a way inland from these sights, I was a little disappointed. However, the room was lovely - better than some in Sri Lanka that I had paid douoble or triple the price for! Clean, spacious, with a...

We made a reservation via Agoda before arriving and were told that the room had been taken. Anne said she could prepare another room for us, so we sat down an waited. When we were shown to our room we freaked out because it was as if we had been shown to the servants' quarters. A sad, mosquito filled room...

Named with a perfect French word, as in the word picturing the real meaning ‘small cottage’, Anne’s Maisonnette, is a very beautiful guest house located in the main town of Southern Province in Sri Lanka & is managed by Mahen, Anne & their teenaged sons. With a ten minute drive to the old Dutch fortress, Anne’s Maisonnette is situated on a hillock with a panoramic view. The cozy apartments are surrounded by well landscaped, quiet garden which conveys the eco friendly concept. The lady of the household, Anne, is very friendly, helpful where you feel quite at home. Mahen is a hotelier who has experience of nearly 20 years in leading hotels, overseas & Sri Lanka.
