this was the last stop on our Sri Lankan adventure and we did manage to relax in the beautiful accommodation after a hectic holiday Rohan and his stuff catered for our every need - the food was superb especially the local fish. we all enjoyed on site massage facilities and Rohan organised tuk tuk's to the local turtle sanctuary. there was nothing we could fault and we would thoroughly recommend this accommodation - Rohan and Karen planned our entire holiday and were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Actually went in 2019 ! Fantastic place - very accommodating owner and team, they made our stay truly amazing, we stayed in both their properties, enjoying Yala park, had encounters with leopard and elephants ! Totally magical and the food and accommodation was ‘spot on’ to our families needs !

Large rooms each with a private balcony or terrass. Calm with a beautiful pool area. Only a few rooms. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. We have been here many times and this is our favourite place. In the mornings, we love to go (or take a Tuk-tuk) to the beautiful Bentota beach for a long walk.

Pros - very friendly and attentive staff - coffee brought to balcony before asking - excellent massage and friendly masseuse - beautiful surroundings and pool - extensive menu with excellent food. Food was not always in stock but chef was happy to make alterations and if you ordered ahead of time they would go to the market to get the ingredients. - when we left, we forgot some items in the room and they followed us in the tuk tuk to give it back. - manager was accommodating and drove us around and gave us a tour with no extra charge Cons - insists on cash payment and ATM in area are limiting - very poor WiFi in rooms

Absolutely stunning! Lovely, spacious rooms with high quality furnishings, in a beautiful setting. Friendly helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble (without being intrusive) As a solo female traveller, being met at the airport by a driver chosen by Karen and Rohan turned what is often a stressful situation into a pleasant one! This was the same for any trips I took - I've never been looked after so well while being able to do exactly as I pleased. Like many solo travellers, I don't enjoy sitting in a restaurant at a table for one! The option to have meals served on my balcony was a huge bonus for me and meant I enjoyed the excellent food without feeling like billy-no-mates! (Of course, I was also able to join the others in the restaurant if I wanted) There are no words to fully convey how amazing this place is! Karen and Rohan have created a little piece of paradise, allowing you to just relax and enjoy your holiday. What more could you ask for?…

We had travelled around Sri Lanka for some weeks, and this was the relaxing time at the end. What a great spot we choose. Photos will show you the beautiful gardens, and the uniquely decorated rooms, with their comfort. They will even show you the delicious food; breakfasts were wonderful. What photos can't show you are the fabulous sense of peace and tranquillity to be found here, not can they convey the amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble - a trite phrase, but so true here. We were spoilt, and were very reluctant to leave.

You have to have a good team if you want to be best of the best. Shangri lanka have an excellent friendly welcoming team along with good food,clean environment,a great relaxing ambience. God I love this place – great location, huge bedroom with a super comfortable bed with good linen and a large bathroom. The rooms have a/c and everything that you need and nothing you don’t. A great feature is the rooms have a balcony so you can sit outside in the shade and relax – and if you have a first floor room they give wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day. The pool is a good size and it’s an absolute delight swimming on your back as the sun peeps through the palm leaves above you. There is an onsite restaurant for your breakfast and yummy evening meals. Staff are friendly and smiley & led by the hosts, Rohan and Karen. It’s a short walk down to the beach – and the better for it as you are away from the noise of the road. And if you need a tuk-tuk it’s pennies into town. There are fancier hotels in Bentota but if you like a more intimate boutique experience, this is warmly recommend. …

This was a wonderful place to stay, the rooms were all very comfortable and clean. We ate at the villa nearly every day and all of the food was lovely. The highlight for our grandson was the swimming pool and for the adults the masseuse who was excellent. I would highly recommend Bentota to anyone looking to stay in Sri Lanka.

We stayed as a family of 4 (children aged 8 & 11) in room 4, which had 2 rooms sharing a bathroom. Our room was lovely, huge comfortable bed & pillows, v spacious with lots of items you can tell have been collected over time. We did get to see rooms 5 & 6 too, which were beautiful too. The guest house is set back from the main road, so it was quiet and pool was gorgeous. A short tuktuk ride to the beach, which was safe for swimming and had glorious sunsets and nice cocktails! Sri Lanka was just beautiful, everyone so welcoming, we had the best time and would go back in a heartbeat.
