I was in Gyeongju with my family in April 2016, when Spring said hello to Korea. I decided to book JY Pension after reading many other positive reviews of this pension. It certainly did not disappoint me. Mr Moon was very prompt in his response via email before i arrived, and was able to accommodate my requests. He offered one...

After spending two nights tucked away in the serene peace that surrounds JY Pension I emerged refreshed and buoyed both by the beautiful setting and the incredible hospitality. My room was perfectly appointed and equipped with kitchenette and a charming third floor view (purple room) with lots of natural light. The pension boasts a charming lodge used for breakfasts and...

We stayed there during the Xmas vacation of 2015. The area is fantastic which automatically makes the hotel appealing. Being away from the city noise, waking up in tge morning only to hear the sound of water and birds is amazing. Even though the weather was very cold room was pretty warm (very efficient floor heating). All rooms get the...

The owner was so nice and my experience in gyeongju started so well because of this place! Honestly, I was afraid to go through the mountain in the dark. But once I got there, I was really amazed by the hostility and the place. I seriously advise you to choose this place!

Staying here is wonderful and peaceful - the best place I have stayed at in Korea. Located in the wonderful Gyeongju national park and the only sounds I can hear when walking in the forest are the birds and the sounds of silence. I am staying here for two nights in the Orange apartment. My accommodation is a lovely bright...

Sorry it took me so long to write this review. My family and I stayed at Gyeongju JY Pension for 3 nights in April 2014. We dropped them an email (in English) and received prompt replies (in English). When we arrived in Gyeongju by bus (we came from Busan), Mr Moon was kind enough to pick us up at the...

Rec number of good reviews on Gyeongju JY Pension in Korea. Stayed 1 night at JY Pension in Sept 2014 and this place is awesome. Highly recommended for those travellers that like to restress and rejuvenate, surrounded with mountains and fresh air. English look cottage and the room is super clean with comfortable bed. Very strong wifi. Mr Moon the...

This place is lovely though a bit hard to find if you don't read Korean although if you follow the signs with a flower, you will get there. Beautiful setting in the mountains, breakfast and cappuccino available. The rooms all have a kitchen and picnic table, lots of bbqs available. Would be a great place for a group retreat.

Our host was very nice, and he made sure we were taken care of the whole way (including before we even arrived). The free breakfast and espresso made coffee was nice, which I enjoyed while sitting on my balcony looking out into nature. One thing that was bad was that there was a leak in the kitchen that caused a...

The place is located in a very quiet and pretty little valley 30 minutes’ drive from Gyeongju, you need a GPS to find the place without losing too much time… we were really wondering where we were going… but once we got there we had a great time. The room was big, we could fit the whole family and there...

“Please take JY Pension phone number with you wherever you go because, it is your 'best friend' if you are lost or missed your connecting bus. Ask the locals to call the number for you. Koreans are very helpful, and wouldn't hesitate to make the phone calls for you if you are in need of help. (This is not a 'Choose Room' advice).”
