Stayed at this location over the weekend. First the parking garage attached to the property, was dirty and felt unsafe , checking into location was easy , Employees were friendly, was acknowledged as a loyal Diamond member, but no upgrade was offered. The Starbucks was closed, on a Saturday afternoon in hotel . The executive lounge was closed or non operational. The room was clean , but heat didn’t work or wasn’t set up yet to give heat to the room , the room was damp with all the rain happening outside. The surrounding area was very desolate, walking to near by restaurant felt unsafe , some streets felt dark and unsafe . Not the hotels fault . Location was close to some sites like the NY capital. For me probably will not visit that area again,

I had one night here before traveling to Hudson River Valley. This place is very convenient to the state Capitol and state museum, which I wanted to see. The dining room has a limited menu, but still a good choice with COVID restrictions. A special thanks to Tim on the front desk. He picked me out a room with a nice view of the Capitol building. Also, the next day he extended my check out, as there was sleet and freezing rain falling, and I wanted to wait until the highways got treated before I drove. A very helpful and pleasant gentleman!

Stayed at this hotel for a dance competition at the Egg 4 years ago and it was horrible because first of all the elevator was broken in garage. Had to bring up several trips thru road to hotel to get to room. It took forever. Then walls were so bad we heard inappropriate things loudly with our young teen in room. It also is a long walk to the Egg with a dance bag etc... There really were not any better options though with hotels in that area. I hope I never have to stay there again. Hilton is so over rated. I had a better/cleaner room at the Red Roof Inn...

Extremely dissatisfied with the condition of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. Had it been earlier in the evening we would of never stayed here. The smell alone was enough to drive even the rats out. Worst hotel I have stayed in in years.

I would like to personally thank many of the staff at the Albany Hilton who helped make our 40th Wedding celebration where it all began memorable. Shirin Mistry Front-Desk Supervisor’s professional compassion assisted in overcoming every obstacle that presented itself in booking and arrival. Kayla Frenyea-Maybo in the breakfast restaurant and Yolanda Williams in the executive lounge gave consistent stellar service each and every time. Angelo Cisario Director of Guest Services along with James Holman Executive Chef, Kim Sim Banquet Captain, and their staff assisted in bringing a last minute family luncheon into reality: for which I thank them from the bottom of my heart forever.

My issue with this hotel is that we booked two king size bed rooms several months in advance and when we arrived only double bed rooms were available. The front desk was only able to correct one of the issues. Also the paint was peeling off the ceiling. Bartender was not very friendly at any time of the day. Front desk staff were very helpful.

This was my first rime staying at the Hilton in downtown Albany and will be my last unless they remodel. I should have stayed at the Hampton down the street. On check in we were told the Executive Lounge was closed. I chose the Hilton for the Executive Lounge. The bathtub was old and stained. Appeared they had replaced the fixtures but nothing else. Our 2nd day there we had no hot water to take a shower. Thought maybe it was just us but overheard others in the lobby talking about it as well. The elevator in the parking deck didn’t work so we had to walk down from the upper deck to the bottom to access the hotel entrance. The one upside was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. As someone who travels frequently for work I stay primarily at Hilton properties. This particular property was a big disappointment.

I was expecting much more from a Hilton Hotel. Hotel in clear need of being refreshed. Old hotel, old rooms, old bathrooms. AC work properly and the rooms even if old, were cleaned. Friendly staff for the most part abs well situated in the middle of Albany. The wifi is in deep need of a boost, don’t expect to have fast or even normal speed wifi, especially during the rush hours. Difficulty to connect on all devices, wouldn’t stay connected either. Very poor connection and the staff couldn’t help on that matter. I felt back with the wifi of 2003.. very slow.

Where to begin. I had rented a room at The Best Western back in April for my daughter's second birthday, soley on the purpose of using the pool because she LOVES to swim. I spent hours comparing places and when we got there she was beyond excited but it was FREEZING. Weekend ruined, I ended up spending more money to keep her entertained but decided not to complain but pick a place with a hot tub in the future. Fast forward to me wanting her to have a better experience at a pool. I again spend FOREVER selecting a place. I figured this time I'll go for a Marriott or Hilton. I wish I would have chosen any other place than Hilton Albany. They say they have a hottub... which I selected this location because of the HOT TUB.. so if the pool was cold it wouldn't matter bc we could at least use that. Parking garage is right there so that was good. We check in and the carpets look dirty. The elevators were cool riding up but they have this odd glass stripe pattern so you have to duck down a little and put your eye close to the glass to look out and see the city as you're riding the elevator. Why they didn't just leave it clear is beyond me. I picked a deluxe room ($20ish more) over a standard room and the only difference I could tell was that it was supposed to include breakfast. Room looked like surfaces were dirty and had water damage. Small bathroom but the beds looked clean and were the only good thing about this experience. I get my daughter all ready to go swimming and head down. We go in and there's kids out of the pool on the side, no one in it. My daughter is absolutely extatic, she runs over and touches it and I can tell it's cold. I go over and sure enough it's colder than the pool at Best Western. She goes in fully turns around and is SHIVERING and gets out immediately. I look around and there's no hot tub...a man going by says they floored over it 😡 WTH! FALSE ADVERTISING. It takes 2mins to update that there is no hot tub but they keep the other photo bc it'll trick more people. Of course I got a room I couldn't get out of to go across the street at the Marriott (the only good experience we've had swimming at a hotel) so my husband went to the front desk and they called the pool engineer to turn it up (HA, engineer, I grew up with a heated pool and was running it fully by 13) so we call it a loss and go to the room knowing it won't be warm until the morning. 7am rolls around and the alarm starts going off..YAY what nursing mother who still wakes multiple times during the night doesn't enjoy a random alarm waking them up. We go to get breakfast and have to explain that the room said it came with continental breakfast before she finally agreed to give us the vochure after going back and forth. The breakfast sucked (My 2yr old liked her French toast and my husband will eat anything) the silverware wasn't polished and the plates were smudged with fingers. Everything needs a deep clean there. I use to be a housekeeper and this place was like a motel but $80 to a few hundred more. I bring my daughter down to check the pool temp and IT'S STILL FREEZING. I grew up with a pool, if they actually turned it up it would of been bearable by the next day. I asked the 2 men who took a quick dip what they thought and they said it was too cold. We head back to the room and I start to get a tub going for my girl so she can enjoy something.. the thing to turn the shower facet off and on to a tub was broken! At this point I decide to look at the reviews for the property and see someone say PARKING ISN'T FREE...UMMMM NO that was my final straw. I called Expedia and I knew once they said they were calling the front desk that nothing would be done, they just don't care... they offered us free parking..come to find out as we leave the garage, it's free for everyone today 😅 We took a walk to eat last night and it was drug addict and homeless central. Not a safe place. I will never spend another dime at a Hilton Hotel, it's Marriott or nothing. Oh we also have a lake on our road that my daughter swims in weekly and it's cold (we enjoy the lake but it's nice to not get sucked into muck and have a spot to jump into the water like a pool has and my daughter can throw her toys into the pool and not lose them), you're keeping your pool colder than a LAKE to save money.
