We stayed at the property for 2 nights whilst exploring Mahe, prior to moving to another island. The experience overall was outstanding! Communication prior to our trip was prompt and informative. We opted to have a transfer from airport to the villa and although comparatively a little on the expensive side (transfer 40 euro), it was worth it for the lack of hassle. We were met by Bernard who was really friendly and informative regarding the island and the amenities around us. It is slightly off season so we had the villa to ourselves, kindly being upgraded to the biggest room overlooking the pool. The service was second to none and the villa was beautiful. The room and other areas of the property were spotless and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We opted for dinner at the villa the first night, cooked by Bernard. The fish with Passion fruit sauce is the best fish dish we have ever had (considering Mrs Nomad doesn't even like fish and she loved it!) and highly recommend it for a treat. The villa was opposite the beach (10 - 15 meters away!) which was equally as stunning - our first taste of paradise this country has to offer! It was so nice to lay in bed and listen to the ocean! The villa has it's own pool which was clean and a nice place to relax. Bernard was kind enough to arrange a hire car for us (reasonable price of 45 euro per day) which enabled us to explore the island. Again, Bernard's knowledge proved useful with his recommendations of places to see and things to do. Overall, a great experience and lovely property!!

Mid of November I stay at the "Le Bonheur Villa" for 10 nights with my Friends from Germany, Billy, Jessi and little Marie. I enjoyed the warm welcome and hospitality of Marlene and Don and for sure Bernard . All of them take so much care for the well-being and comfort of their guest, and offer incredible help and guidance for the planning of the stay on the various islands and great insights in the Do's and Don'ts. The rooms are spacious, nice and clean, the house itself is cozy and offers all comfort. Breakfast and dinner (if wished) is served on a nice terrace and the food is among the best on the islands, thanks to Bernard . I would definitely visit this place again in February 2020 and can only recommend it to people who look for something special. The served dinners were outstanding and the cooking skills of her son Bernard made every evening special. I know that this review is filled with superlatives. I have traveled a lot, but the Villa Le Bonheur is just outstanding. Special thanks to the Staff there, Patrick , Sushi ( don’t know if I wrote the Name right) and his Wife from Nepal and all the other friendly people 😊 All of them make you feel as if you belong to the family. Thanks for everything Mr. T. πŸ˜‰

We had a long stay of 10 days as a large family all adults. We enjoyed every minute of it, it was defiantly large enough for everyone to have there own space, the pool and pool area are lovley with plenty of seating and loungers All the rooms are simular in size and well accomadating with comfy beds , which are made daily. The penthouse was beautiful, large and private. Marylou & don where amazing hosts and barnard the chef made some amazing fresh dishes which everyone enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay comforting and relaxing . Look forward to staying on our next visit

We were welcomed by unfriendly Mrs Ann. She was surprised, that we are 4 adults with 2 children. The owner (Mrs Marylene) confirmed extra bed for my son and my doughter slept with us. We felt uncomfortable and strange. Our room (penthouse) was dirty. Only towels and bedclothes was clean. In the kitchen one of the lamps was broken, the kettle was leaking. There was only 4 paper plates and 2 tea cups. In the bathroom there was jaccuzi - but it was broken, no info about that. We decided to stay only one night there and move to other hotel. We had to pay 50 % of total amount and the commision for booking.com, total cost for one night was 502.25 EUR !!!! The beaches in the neighbourhood very rocky, not suitable for swimming. A lot of noisy residents and one very poor shop around. Very high prices in the restaurant, if you want to eat dinner. The offer on booking.com - especially the pictures does not match the reality. It's a melange of pictures from many rooms. Only one air conditioning for whole penthouse and one fan, two other was not the at all. WE DO NOT RECCOMEND In the morning Mrs Marylene for good bye said - "sorry for that" ... no comments

It is a very nice location, without luxury but with a lot of charm. It is a big house and it is an experience totally different from a hotel, the stuff is so nice and friendly, they do everything to make you feel confortable. My airport trip was leaving very late and they let me stay in the pool and in the room the necessary time The breakfast is awesome and we dinner there 2 times, it was very nice! I really recomended to people who wanted to change the tipical hotel experience.
