The room and the bed was pretty comfortable. Our room had a very nice balcony with great view which you could watch sunset. There are two beaches walking distance ( quite hilly though). The staff were super friendly and very helpful. It is a bit far from the airport but they arranged taxi at 5 am for us to arrive there on time ( it costs 50 euro) South of Mahe is nicer than its north and if you want to stay in the south, I totally recommend this place. The kitchen was very basic and it could be improved, beside the bathrooms were outdated.
That's it! We found a new home away from home. Traveling with toddler, i first hesitated to book this elevated hotel. But the location is so good because in Mahe, all beaches on West are the best. The whole property is safe. The family owning this resort are very welcoming, nice and really took care of our requests. We will definitely come back here.
This really is the perfect place for people like us who:- - like to eat and sit outdoors on a terrace with a fantastic view (Anse à la Mouche bay) - enjoy gardens and being surrounded by lush vegetation and flowers - need somewhere quiet, with no noise from neighbouring guests - don't mind walking ten minutes up and down the hill from the resort to the main road's mini-market and bus stop (shop opposite the resort was closed due to holiday) - are excited about the fruit bats which gather in the mango trees at night (even though they can be noisy) - in the evening, prefer to watch the lizards eat insects to watching TV (though for those who want that, there was one in the room!) Unlike the other two places we stayed at nearby, this bungalow had sufficiently strong lighting so you could read indoors, but it also had atmospheric lighting. It was clean, spacious and light, with a lovely large bathroom and a nice, firm double bed. The kitchen was small but its large fridge was very useful. We twice walked to our favourite beach at Anse Soleil - it took 35 minutes up and down the (steep) road but we didn't mind a bit of exercise. The friendly family owners made us feel welcome and kept a low-key presence but were very helpful during the ten nights we stayed here. When our a/c unit failed, they quickly came up with a sensible solution and it was fixed early the following morning. Car hire was organised swiftly and so was the transfer back to the airport. A wonderfully relaxing stay.…
Comfortable rooms. Very welcoming family -- great service. Less than a mile to Anse Soleil & Petit Anse Soleil's beautiful beaches but, beware, it's not all downhill - there's a steep, little climb as you leave the hotel. Recommended.
You get a house for yourself. A big room with a very good bed, a sittingroom and a small kitchen. A big veranda with a fantastic view. Good Ac and wi-fi for free. There is a little shop just a couple of minutes away but no restaurant or take away places nearby. It' s a hilly way to go to the beach so a Car is almost a must(we had'nt but we like walking and stayed only three nights). You can take the bus from the busstop(10 min walk) to go to a nice restaurang by the next beach(anchor cafe).
If you don't mind 20min (up&down) walk to Four Seasons or 10min walk to Kempinski beach than this place is for you! + Great host, very very friendly & nice + Huge & well equipped villas + fast wifi + small shop down the road + close to most beautiful beaches on the island - if I have to think of one.. maybe remote location? no restaurants/big shops around but the owner is already upgrading resort to have some dining facilities. If you have a car simply cook in the villa or drive further to restairant. If you don't have a car, well, cook yourself or eat in near by hots (4 seasons and Kempinski - both pricy but worth it!)
We stayed as a group of four friends in the Kitouz two bed villa for two nights, and couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. The resort is up some quite steep twisty roads, set in beautiful, quiet surroundings with a fabulous view of the bay. There is a well stocked corner shop within a two minute walk, perfect for self catering. The owners of the resort are very welcoming and helpful, and will do their best to provide anything you require. There is Wifi throughout the accommodation. The living/kitchen area is open plan, which when you open up the two sets of bifold doors on to the huge veranda, makes it feel like you're at one with the view. The bedrooms are large and the beds super comfy. We were so glad we stayed here instead of one of the hotel resorts down the road or in Beau Vallon, which is over run by tourists. I would definitely recommend staying here and would loved to have stayed longer.…
We have been welcome so good!! I wasn't feeling good and the Mamasita she gave me a hot citronella tea and some painkillers! Also a plate of fresh fruits! Very helpful cause the pharmacy was miles away! She gave us a perfect room with more then enough room and plenthy of view overseas:) a plant of bananas just ready to feed us in our garden! The best intro ever to Seychelles! Love it and love to come back again!
My wife and I stayed for four nights. We arrived to a friendly but disorganized welcome. It seemed as if our hostess forgot or didn't know we were coming. Things only got worse when we were escorted to our room which we quickly realized looked nothing like the room that we requested or those glossy photos on their website. We were told that all the other rooms were occupied and that we'd have to stay the night in this one. It's not that the room was totally awful but it was dark, smallish and had no view (the Kokosye, I think). The following morning we were moved to the requested Kolibri room and things started to turn around. This room was a totally night and day difference. It was spacious, bright and had a large verandah with a great view of the bay and hills albeit with a little interference by some power lines. We were happy again! The staff here are helpful but very hands off. If you need something you just have to ring the bell at reception. Reception is also where you get free WiFi. I think you really do need a car to enjoy the location of this place. The parking is available just outside the room. There's a small supermarket just down the road (a short walk) for essentials. There's a take-away restaurant around the corner as one approaches the main road but we got the impression that the owner was overcharging tourists. There's also a restaurant down by the Anse Soleil beach and a restaurant-café (Anchor) a short drive away that serves good but expensive fish sandwiches. Restaurants and food in general on Mahe is expensive and poor value so we opted to make use of supermarkets and take-aways. The rooms at this resort come equipped with adequate cooking facilities. The grounds are very well manicured and lush. The resort is also relatively close to a couple of good beaches. A car opens up the island to discovery and allows one to return to the serenity of this place afterwards. Remember to pick up a helpful free road map at the airport. Overall, I'd say this place is definitely worth considering if you can get one of the good-value rooms with a view. I hope you find this review helpful!…
Really liked this place, large verandah, well equipped kitchen, king sized beds. Set in nicely landscaped gardens, quiet with a beautiful view of the ocean. Easy access to Anse Soleil and Petite Anse, both walkable as are supermarket and some small art galleries. Petite Anse is one of nicest beaches on the island so this is a plus. All in all, highly recommend this resort, which is more like a collection of private and tasteful villas for a very affordable price.
