We stayed at the Park Place unit overlooking the mountains of Meron. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience. Everything we needed for our Shabbat stay was provided for us- all we needed to do was bring the food. Full working kitchen, spacious living space and eating

Beit Josef advertises itself as a bed and breakfast. It's on their website, their business cards and on signs at their many lodgings all over Safed. It's listed here on Tripadvisor. That's why I chose it, as at $145 a night it was at the top of my budget. So I was distressed to

It is so upsetting to receive such a negative review. I had been in touch with these clients several times before their arrival, emaiilng with them their many questions and was very happy to do so. I was unable to meet with them on their arrival because i was out of Safed the hour they arrived, not because I was "too busy". And I had told them this prior to their arrival. However, the owner met with them and gave them their key. They spoke with me several times that evening and again in the morning about different issues concerning the unit and their itinerary. There was one electrical socket, of the 5 in the room, which unfortunately was not working. I sent our maintenance person to deal with it straight away the following morning. As the client mentioned, I did offer several times to move them to another unit, where I hoped they would be more comfortable, which we could have done at any time convenient to them but they were not interested. It is always so disappointing to get negative feedback. Unfortunately people do come in all shapes and sizes and it is near impossible to please everyone all of the time. Sometimes you cannot please no matter what. Following there departure, we were fortunate to host a lovely couple in the very same unit for shabbat , who thoroughly enjoyed their experience and who had only positive things to say..Go figure..

I stayed at Beit Yosef on Yerushalyim Street in Safed for two nights with a couple of friends. Our second level unit featured two rooms and a bunk area in a loft. We were so grateful for the air conditioning in the middle of July. The rooms each had there own bath/shower.

We had a fabulous time! The suite was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything needed for Shabbat. The outside courtyard is idyllic! Excellent location! Walking distance to Shuls, restaurants, shops.

I have now been at Beit Yosef apartments a number of times, and most have provided me with what I was looking for: a quiet place where I could enjoy a Shabbat in Tzfat, in between meals at friends, except when - infrequently - there were also some noisy families who still need

There are many many synagogues. All our units are centrally located and within easy walk. There are also places to purchase ready made kosher shabbat food. All units have hot plates for shabbat.

We felt perfectly safe all over Israel - apart from when crossing the road! The Jewish and Arab Israelis are all totally pleasant. As for local customs in Zvat, you must remember that a very large population of observant Jews lives there. So everything shuts on Friday afternoon, and doesn't re-open until after Shabbat on Saturday evening. If you are staying in a hotel you should be OK, otherwise you must make sure you buy all your provisions on Friday. Also, you should wear modest dress when walking around in the city.

People spell Safed in many different ways. You will see Safed Sfat Tzfat Zfat and perhaps more..... all the same place! Come visit.....
