The Fauzi Azar Inn by Abraham Hostels is a 200-year-old Arab mansion turned guesthouse in the heart of Nazareth, offering both dormitory beds and private rooms in a unique old-world atmosphere. Chosen by Lonely Planet as #7 hostel in the world for 2014 and described by the Lonely Planet Travel Guide “one of the highlights of a stay in the Galilee” and “a great base for touring major sites of the Galilee.” The Fauzi Azar’s style is intimate and relaxed, with a warm atmosphere where guests and staff can meet, share travel stories and tips, and make new and lasting friendships. Nazareth is rich in culture, and the Fauzi Azar Inn welcomes the chance to introduce guests to the community by offering a daily, guided tour of the Old City. Many of Nazareth's historical religious sites are within easy walking distance, including the Basilica of Annunciation. The Fauzi Azar is also the starting point of the Jesus Trail, which attracts hikers and Christian pilgrims from all over the world.

The staff were excellent. The sunroom - courtyard; all the chill areas are good. It’s wonderful staying in a beautiful old home. You do have to realize there are barking dogs at night but earplugs can deal with that. They should have a sign though a few places telling guests no

Dear Cindy Do not worry, there is a private parking where you could park your car, at 10 min walk from us. If you set on your Gps ( waze) '' restaurant Tishreen" you will be able to find the underground parking ( called el Reyad parking) next to the restaurant. it would cost you 35 ILS per day. Best Regards Fauzi Azar inn

Not at all, no stairs to speak of, leisurely pace. Very worthwhile to meet so many citizens of a town and learn a little about them. It was a big highlight for us. We went back to many of the stores later and felt like we knew the owner. It's been 6 months and we still remember the tour fondly. One of the best two hours of our trip. The tour is good for you and good for the town. Great to participate in something like that. Tip your guide!

Dear traveler Our rooms are usually quiet and also the streets and while sitting in the common areas you can hear the birds and the falling water, but there are neighbors around us as we are located in the old city. Periods of weddings, elections and feasts are sometimes noisy .

No extra cost for a mini fridge. Not all the private rooms include a mini fridge so best to ask for one if you need it. The common kitchen includes a fridge for the use of all guests.
