I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Al Mutran Guesthouse. It was comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful traditional style and feel. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, genuinely going out of their way for their guests. Location was excellent, near to shops, places to eat and drink, and local buses. I would definitely revisit.

"This is your home in Nazareth!" said host Odeh Gubran. (photo) It was true! I spent four days in Nazareth, 2 with friends and 2 alone. I stayed at Al Mutran the first trip and it was full on the second but I was at least able to take breakfast there in the morning. I highly recommend Al Mutran. To the weary traveller - used to lugging their own bags and bottling their own water - Al Mutran is an oasis. The care of the host is legendary, and the location cannot be bettered. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat. The room we had was comfortable, had a view of the Nazareth urban hillside and was serviceable, having its own bathroom, kettle and storage. Al Mutran retains a hostel vibe while sporting guesthouse facilities. It felt as if all the guests were family. I spent some time in the 3rd floor living room (decorated in the bathrooms and plumbing are kept in good order and the common areas kept clean. Odeh, Mouna and Rada - I miss them and hope they continue to delight many a traveller for years to come. I really enjoyed staying at Al Mutran. 5 stars

In the old city within walking distance to most attractions, and food nearby. Nice court yard and plenty of shared space. Made to feel very welcome by the staff who were helpful and friendly. Good view of the city from the balcony area.

Great location in the middle of town - within walking distance of most of the sights! Free street parking very close nearby. Beautiful old building, very nice room with tea- and coffeemaking facilities, good bathroom and shower facilities and access to a common room with a balcony providing a very picturesque view of Nazareth. This place is famous for it's breakfast, and it did not disappoint! Forget about quantity over quality - here you get a fine selection of cheeses, pastries and typical Israeli breakfast dishes - and an amazing omelet made on your request. For me, the main attraction was the hospitality of the staff - all were so friendly, in particular the manager who received me in the evening and welcomed me for breakfast in the morning. You really feel at home here!

Perfectly located in the heart of Nazareth's old city, this is a simple but lovely place to stay. The ambience is old, faded and basic, with 10 rooms of diferent sizes. Ours, the economy room, was indeed tiny with just about enough room to put down our bags and as another reviewer has stated, with absollutely no frills. With that, outside of our door was a lobby area with a formerly grand dining table and a small verandah which was a lovely place to sit in the evening, The saving grace of this place is are the hosts Odeh and his wife Moona, who simply cannot do enough for you, and when they tell you " this is your home in Nazareth", that is exactly how they make you feel. Car parking is indeed a challenge with tiny roads with just enough room for 1 car turning out to be two way. If you do manage to manipulate your vehicle to just outside the door it can be a headache to get it out again, For all that, recommended,

Al-Mutran is an older guesthouse situated in the perfect location in Nazareth. You can walk to all the important sites in about 5-10 minutes tops. There is a great parking lot about 400 meters from the hotel that charges 45 nis per day. Al-Mutran is basic- not a lot of frills. The rooms are kept very clean, the beds are fairly comfortable, and the AC works really well! You feel a bit like you are staying in a guesthouse 30-40 years in the past with modern amenities. It is charming. It is in no way a luxury hotel! Yet, given the right expectations, the bang for the buck is there! I am surprised to read reviews that say it is too pricey at around $100 a night. Although not a luxury hotel it is surely nothing close to a hostel on the lower end. Compared to all other hotels we stayed at during this trip, the Al-Mutran provided the second best bang for the buck for all the hotels we stayed at. The hotel manager is a real character! He is very engaging and makes a great omelette for breakfast! He is the perfect fit for the Al-Mutran! He makes the stay memorable! I am not sure you could find a better place to stay in Nazareth for the $$$$

Al Mutran guest house is a beautiful restored Arab mansion located in the old city of Nazareth. We stayed one night with my husband in a deluxe room. The Hotel manager is absolutely adorable and very welcoming. When we arrived, he offered us some tea and an annotated map, including all the things to see with the opening and closing times. Our room was a bit disappointing; it's very basic and old school but very clean. For instance, we had a fridge in the room which was making a lot of noise, it would have been better to not have a fridge but instead refurb / modernise the bathroom. There is no parking so you have to find a spot yourself which can be tricky in Nazareth. The breakfast was good with excellent arabic coffee.

We stayed for just one night at this lovely guesthouse. When we arrived, the owners had not yet arrived as they were stuck in traffic (which is common in Nazareth...). But they had called their neighbor who invited us to his house, offering us coffee and sweats - how kind! Our room in the upper floor was very nice, but the main attraction was the wonderful entry lobby where we also enjoyed breakfast. Our host prepared a fresh omelette, and if we had not stopped him, he would have offered even more food... We also got nice recommendations for our trip around Israel, and were walked to the Greek-orthodox church by our host when we met him in the streets when wandering around. Really great hospitality in a small, family-run guesthouse in the heart of the old town (which means that everything is walkeable).

The Al-Mutran is a charming “old school” guest house in the Old City of Nazareth. The breakfast is great and the owner is lovely who will go out of his way to help. The common areas upstairs and outside the room are great. It’s in a quiet location too. Rooms are basic but comfortable with good AC.

The old house of a wealthy family in the heart of the town. Charming but not that comfortable. The ambiance is unique but keep in mind that the room is basic and old and if you are arriving by car you'll have to keep your fingers crossed for a parking space. The host was very friendly and kind.
