The family-style Auberg-Inn in Jericho has the ambiance of a serene sanctuary. It’s surrounded by a sweetly scented garden that provides fresh produce for everything on the seasonal menu. Guests can enjoy picking fruits from the garden, interacting with gentle farm animals, and gathering around the evening bonfire for hot tea and argileh (water pipe). The guesthouse offers many activities integrated with the local community, such as hiking, e-biking, cooking classes, yoga meditation, horse-drawn carriage rides, and tours.

Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely little place on the edge of Jericho and next to the main areas of Ancient Jericho. The guest house is situated in a walled area away from the street and has a main house and a garden annexe. The gardens are lovely. We stayed in the garden annexe which was away from the house so we did not experience any noise from other guests, which was nice. It had everything that we needed plus a nice breakfast in the morning and the guys cooked a meal one evening. The two guys that run the inn were absolutely great. They were so friendly, welcoming and helpful and they assisted when our hire car got a puncture and even took the tyre down to a local garage for us and got it fixed for 10 shekels - what more could we ask.

My stay at Auberg-Inn was brilliant and was a big part of the reason that I enjoyed my time in Jericho so much. It’s in a great location between tourist sites and the city centre which makes it very accessible and easy to go and see all there is in Jericho. Also with it being on the edge of Jericho as evening sets in it is the perfect place to wind down after a busy day.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and greatly contributed to the relaxed atmosphere all around Auberg-Inn, they went above and beyond to ensure you were happy. Their advice on activities coupled with the discounts provided for places such as the Dead Sea means it really provides more than just a place to stay for a few nights.
The breakfast provided in the morning is delicious and with the genuine Arabic coffee and tea alongside it sets you up well for the day.
Absolutely recommend Auberg-Inn to anyone in Jericho

I loved staying at the AubergInn. I booked a bed in the dorm room here as a solo traveller, but this is no ordinary hostel.
It’s set in an Arab-style old family home, which is super clean and fully equipped for everything you may need, and suited for all kinds of different travellers. The property itself is so peaceful and beautiful with a huge garden, chickens and a couple goats. But the best part is the staff there- Tariq and Sameer were incredibly welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable on everything from tourist sites, nearby hikes and restaurant recommendations. Muna the chef cooked a delicious restaurant quality Maqluba for a group of us one night, and made mutabel using aubergine fresh from the garden. Location is great, as it’s far enough from the town centre to be quiet and relaxing but also easy walking distance to the town centre, restaurants, and all sites worth seeing in Jericho.
Auberginn is a must if you’re visiting Jericho and Palestine!

We found the ‘Auberginn’ in Jericho after driving down an awfully dusty road, littered with building waste, garbage and discarded sofas right up to the gate. We started to regret our booking. On gaining access to the compound and parking our vehicle, we found the interior relatively clean. The neglected garden still held some beauty and the Damascus roses were a visual and olfactory delight.
The young Manager was friendly and accommodating, spoke good English and was informative.
We stayed in the garden cottage that was accessed down a tatty garden path, made somehow special by the fruit trees, vegetable garden and the stabled donkeys.
The moderately clean cottage was spacious with 3 basic beds. Luckily the bedding was clean. This was good enough for us two men, but a woman or someone more demanding would have found the accommodation inadequate or even unacceptable. The room had a small bathroom and shower with no pressure and little hot water.
Basic breakfasts were provided in the dining room of the main house. These were poorly presented. The interior was grubby and frequented by cats who jumped up on the tables and ate from the dishes. Flies buzzed around settling ominously on food, necessitating constant swotting. The kitchen was very dirty and staffed by friendly backpackers. In fact, the Auberginn is a backpackers passing itself off as a guesthouse/ inn.
In its favour, the Auberginn is located within close walking distance to the ancient tel of Jericho, as well as the cable-car that takes visitors to the Sarandarion Monastery on the Mount of Temptation.

I arrived like a princess, the awesome staff offer you tea or coffee, make a tour of the place, they have a big garden with donkeys and chickens. Breakfast is typically huge and delicious, They use the eggplant, herbs and eggs from the garden. My bed very confortable, is a big house with plenty of space outside. It is well located next to the mount of temptations and only 20 min walk from the center or they call for you Ganam the super taxi driver who bring you anywhere. Special thanks to sweet Sameer and crazy Basil who makes you feel home and take care of you ;)

We were welcomed with cups of Arabic coffee when we checked in, and staff (Samir) was very friendly and helpful. The location was near the cable car to the Mount of Temptation, and they offered us discounted tickets. The room was cozy and quiet. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony and listening to the birds chirping. The breakfast was Palestine style and I loved the sweets served together. I bought some local olive oil soaps at the reception, which turned out to be good souvenirs. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and what made it more special was the warm hospitality of the friendly staff.

I'm really thankfull to the people who work there. I arrived feeling a little sick and they really took care of me, made me some tea, and they were always asking me how I was feeling, they made me feel like home.
The place is lovely, it has a big garden, and the hostel itself is really beatifull. I slept like a baby. The breakfast was very tasty and if you want to catch a taxi to somewhere they call it for you.
We reallu enjoyed staying there! Thank you people!

I want to go back! Our stay at the Auberg'Inn has simply been wonderful.
Upon arrival, we were treated on a warm welcome, tea and cake, a place and time to relax, helpful information on how to plan the things we wanted to do in the time available to us, and a comfortable studio in the back of the peaceful garden.
Due to the rain there were some issues with the electricity, but the staff was very helpful in resolving this. They even helped me find people who could tell me more about local folklore, which I extremely appreciated.
Breakfast was delicious (local food), the whole atmosphere so relaxing, too many sights in the area for the time we had (several sights such as the Mount of Temptation and Tel Sultan and Ein Sultan were so nearby that they were accessible on foot). I guess I simply have to go back:-)

We booked for one night and stayed over the weekend. We were very warmly welcomed by Samir, who offered tea & coffee and also applied to all COVID 19 protection rules (masks, handsantizers) etc. Room and bathrooms are freshly renovated and very clean. The staff was extremly helpful and friendly, recommending beautiful hikes and tasty restaurants in the city. From the hostel all major attractions are easy to reach by foot (wadi Qelt 1/2 hour).
Especially in the winter the hostel with its beautiful orange orchiard offers a wonderful weekend retreat (warm 23 degrees during the day). Highly recommended for all travelers

The Auberginn is a little oasis within Jericho's beautiful desert landscape. From the windows you either have a view over the town or the imposing Mount of Temptation, with the cable car basically just outside the front door. There is a shop at the corner which sells all the staples and fully stocked kitchen. Breakfast is provided for a small price and it is a simple and authentic Palestinian fare. I saw the property being cleaned twice a day when I was there, so I can attest to it's cleanliness. The wifi is really good too, which is nice because I found that the Israeli SIM has some trouble within Jericho proper. What more can I say!! The gardens are quaint and beautiful and there are two cute goats and some chickens, from which fresh eggs are taken for breakfast :) An ideal place to stay at in Jericho!
