You expect better service for the price you pay. Lobby is crowded and receptionists treat you like they are doing a big favor for you. Rooms need upgrade, old but kept clean. Need to pay extra to use the Spa and it is per day even if you enter for half an hour, you need to pay

Here's a chance to stay in a Kibbutz. Guests I spoke with were Israeli--this is a local hotel. The rooms are simply furnished and very clean. The shower was an upgrade. Best feature is their buffets. Not only did they have many salads, vegetables, bread/rolls, deserts and some

This was such a great place to stay. Our room was comfortable. The people were friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. We were able to visit the diary and have a great dinner in a neighboring town. We are from Florida so this was a unique experience.

You cannot walk to the beach. They have a shuttle bus to ein gedi spa every hour approx. Free transport and entry for hotel guests - pick up the pass from the hotel. From inside the spa, take another llittle free truck (or walk) another kilometre or so and you’ll be at the Dead Sea beach.

I highly recommend renting a car for touring the Dead Sea area, including for trips to Masada. It will give you a lot of flexibility, particularly in the early hours if you want to go on early morning hikes (which is a must if you are there in the hotter months). Sunrise at Masada is beautiful and a unique experience. Keep in mind the time of year you are there as, at most times of year, only way up before sunrise is by hiking (which is quite nice if you are able).

Is this the Kibbutz Ein Gedi Guesthouse? Which room is the kibbutz room? thank you
No, the Hotel is separate from the Kibbutz - right next to each other. I don't know about the Guesthouse, but it must be on the kibbutz grounds.
