Ignore adverse reviews from spoiled tourists who only stay at all inclusive 20 storey luxury establishments. This is a kibbitz run chalet hotel set in a botanical garden. It doesn't own frontage on the Dead Sea but gives guests free access to a commercial spa which does. The trip is a ten minute hourly free shuttle. My comments will not... More

I'll start from the bottom line - I will definitely not visit there again. The main attraction of this place is naturally the Dead Sea. Nevertheless, your chances of visiting the sea without getting a sun burn are zero. The beach, where you have to drive several kilometers or take a bus, has a monopoly over the Dead Sea. (The... Not willing to stay at an immense hotel by the Dead Sea and having read reviews about the hotel’s location in a botanical garden, I immediately knew I would love it. I arrived from Ben Gurion airport (in Tel Aviv) to Jerusalem’s Central bus station by shuttle taxi and then to Ein Gedi by regular bus. I booked the simplest... More

The food is superb israeli home style cuisine. The overall atmosphere is simple but in high class. It is our second visit here. Unfortunately they started playing loud music in the pool which used to be quiet as the hotel and the desert. Other than that, a must be place.

This was not the first time in that part of the Dead Sea region, but for the first time we stayed at the Kibbutz Hotel. We were 2 couples, had booked one of the deluxe and one of the standard rooms, but after a look in the standard room, we upgraded it to a Deluxe Room. The Review I am... More

Came for a short holiday and enjoyed every bit of it. We took a standard room but the setting of the place was fantastic. We had a problem in our room and they were very attentive, taking care of it. They couldn't fix it so they upgraded us to a fantastic room with a view.

Nice hotel, they are nearly finished with very nice renovations. The staff is a not very accommodating. We had to ask 3 times for them to set up the extra bed for our daughter. It took 7 hours and they charged extra. However, the room was nice and clean and the nice Israeli breakfast you've come to expect.

On arrival (after a long drive, arriving after nightfall) we were treated by both the security guard outside reception and the staff checking us in with what can only be described as utter hostility. We were made to feel as though we were interlopers. This was only surpassed by the standard of the room which was run-down and poorly finished... More

The dead sea in an amazing place and the Ein gedi hotel is the best place to stay in the area, both location wise and also for getting the spirit of the place. It is very close to the main attraction of the dead sea: Masada, David spring and of course the beach. If you can time it, stay here... More

Excellent Base for kibbutz style hotel with own pool and SPA. Gorgeous separate rooms in little bungalows with AC. Pool area and SPA are exceptional. Also the Bar/Restaurant serves great food. Free WLAN and very caring service. Great for weekend stays with friends, lonesome time to reenergize or family with kids. Botanical Garden and Natural Reserve are highlights.
