I stayed in Zarqa Bay- Juha's guesthouse with 3 friends. We had such a great time! Jisr A Zarka has so much to offer to backpackers: A beautiful little village, wonderful Mediterranean food, an AMAZING shore and fisherman's village, proximity to famous and important locations such as Caesarea and the Israel national trail. And on top of these the guesthouse and the village have such an interesting story to tell, that makes you feel like you are a part of something bigger. I think you can easily spend there 3 days if you have the time. We had a wonderful time exploring the village with the tour the guesthouse organized. I really recommend it as you get to learn and understand so much of the history and current affairs there. And the meal in the end, oh my god... so good! The

I happened to be the very firs guest of Juha's Guesthouse in Jisr az Zarqa and well, the time I spent there was the best one my whole trip to Israel (and it was an epic trip!). I must say I didn't know what to expect from my stay there but I was more than ready for an adventure and I definitely had one! Jisr az Zarqa may seem like a hidden place but it is so worth a visit! It is beautiful, it is interesting, it is real! But the biggest value of the place is the people. Incredibly hospitable, welcoming, curious and willing to get to know you. Juha's Guesthouse is located in the very heart of Jisr az Zarqa, not far from the beautiful and sandy beach and a fishermen's village where you can eat a fresh fish served to you at the spot. The guesthouse itself is a cosy, spacious,

I discovered Juha's guesthouse before its opening. Walking on Jesr az Zarqa's beach with a friend from the village, I was stunned by the beach's beauty and the village's potential... Then we bumped into Neta, the young woman who initiated the guesthouse! Impressed with her project of developing tourism in Jesr to help the village's positive development and encourage leadership initiatives, we talked and walked together. We visited the guesthouse still under renovation at the time while Neta was telling us the story of her meeting with Ahmad, her partner in the project. As soon as I found out the guesthouse had opened, I booked a night... And what a weekend I had!!! I arrived by bus in Jesr. It was on Friday afternoon and I dropped my bag in the dorm before heading to the
