When we arrived on the afternoon of our wedding anniversary we were offered a private room for a very good rate. The man at the desk was very, very helpful with booking the room and offered several recommendations for the evening. He even helped with hiking options for the next morning. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The wifi... More

If you are solo or traveling with friends, or even if a couple because they have private rooms, you seriously will do yourself a favor to check yourself in to the SnowMansion when visiting the Taos area. It's about 20 minutes out of Taos proper but situated in a wonderful small village which is its own entity and in which... More

I've driven by dozens of times and since I had other reasons to be in Arroyo Seco, I decided to try the Snow Mansion. I'm a light sleeper so a private room seemed a better option than a cabin, which are really 4 little side-by-side sleep-capsules. The upstairs rooms were filled, and to be fair, I was warned that I... More

WE reserved this hotel through Expedia. It was very difficult to locate due to ignorance of the front desk clerks. Other than that negative, it is a different kind of hotel. You will fill like you are staying with an extended family at vacation home. Very nice food home cooking by Rosa. The owner Abu or Amu (Sorry) a wonderful... More

Close to the resort, easy to hitch hike up, comfortable, free breakfasts and healthy $5 dinners. Nice common area around a fireplace. Next door to a small grocery. I've stayed in many ski hostels, and this is more than adequate.

I stayed for 5 days and opted for a top bunk experience. After a fresh snowfall this unique social oriented lodging accommodation provided a gambit of adventure. From 5 am snowplow drive bys , early morning de-icing of your car and breakfast preparation in the kitchen or joining in on a provided meal, this place made me adjust to winter... More

We stayed in one of the cabins out back for two night and it was just perfect! Taos Ski Valley was just opening and the location was super convenient. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and super knowledgable about the area. The group meals were a definite bonus! When we return to Taos, we'll be staying at the Snowmansion.

Outside of the busy city of Taos, nestled in an organic garden and surrounded by restaurants, galleries and unbelievable beauty, this was a surprising find. This is a hostel so you can share a room, have a private ensuite room in the main lodge, or sleep in a teepee, or even pitch a tent. There is kitchen usage and communal... More
