While the pictures online are spectacular it's the people at Nihiwatu that makes the place what it is. From the moment you arrive it's ALL about your comfort. We were met by Carla (GM) and the staff with a quick introductory to the facilities. The...More
Spent 6 nights here in October as a family. Everything about Nihiwatu is first class. For those of us who love to be active, there is plenty on offer. And for those who like to be a bit more relaxed, its the ideal place.
This is a very special place.
It starts with great professional people including very well trained and genuinely friendly local staff .
It is uncrowded ,on the sea with a very clean 2.5 km white beach .We walked it every day and thought where else...More

Hi- wet season ends in march so June good. As far as surf I'm not sure on June (we went July) but the Nihi break (Occy's left) is so consistent it's probably fine. Be sure to reserve in advance given only 10 slots per day on Occy's and no one tells you to reserve in advance. We only got on it one day because of this and had to do other lesser spots. This is a big wave not for beginners at all but there are other options which the resort will drive you to in the Nihi safari vehicles(included) or the boat(need to pay).
As far as activities there is a waterfall hike, horseback riding on the beach, there is fishing and spearfishing. A cool mini chocolate factory, sea turtle farm where you can release turtles. Yoga deck is great. Fitness center. They have theme night dinners and a chill dj at happy hour. We were never bored at all but you need to like surf and yoga.

Hello Ann - although some of our Guests choose not to take any Malarial prophylaxis, we always suggest to anyone arriving soon that they should consult their Doctor to discuss this. South East Asia does have malaria, some areas are higher risk than others. I think if its something you're concerned about then rather take the medication for piece of mind!
