The good things: 1. The caretaker is nice & helpful. She's been there for 4 months only. So be nice. 2. Near rice fields that you can have a walk and chit chat with locals. 3. Has hot water & enough electricity. The downside: 1. Old buildings. It's been 60 years! 2. Standard breakfast. Suggestion: 1. If you must stay... More

The only positive is the location that is only about 30 minutes drive from the car park of Kelimutu. This is more like low end of backpack hotel. Poor bed quality, improper bathroom and not clean. They have only one long dining table in their "restaurant" and with very limited variety of food. No restaurant or eating place within walking... More

it’s all about expectations. can’t expect much in this area. Nicest thing about the hotel is the name and location: right next to beautiful rice fields Basic accommodations. Deluxe rooms in the front are the best. however very noisy being on the street. Room was very spacious and festive with nice curtains. Fluffy comfortable mattress. Bedspread and there was dirty... I thought it looked like a ghost hotel when I checked-in. The place was super run down. I did not dare use the pillow. The bedsheets had strange black stains on them. The only good thing was the hot shower. Most places in Moni don't have hot shower. The toilet can't flush. In the morning, brown water comes out from... More

The problem with the Flores Sare Hotel is that its flaws, viewed individually, are applicable to just about any other lodging in the area. Wet-style bathroom, dingy furniture, inadequate towels, mystery insects - about par for course. The problem is that it feels like no one cares about this lodging anymore, and the whole place feels disused and unkempt and... More

This is the nicer of the two hotel options located near Mount Kelimutu in Ende, Flores. It's very basic and needs a renovation, but the rooms are ginormous! There's no view and no restaurant and no scooters for rent, nothing is within walking distance and cabs are not readily available. A cab from the airport costs $70USD, so try to... More

We arrived at this hotel very, very late and was a bit shocked to see the 'facilities', but our one-night-stay turns out ok. Bed: the bed frame reminded us to dinning table. The legs were pretty high. We felt like sleeping on a dinning table :) Bathroom: each bathroom is now equipped with hot water tap. The water that comes... More

The worst and most expensive hotel we had during our 2weeks stay on the island of Flores. Dirty spartan rooms, unfriendly service. Sanitair not working, many times no water or power. Restaurant looks like a dirty dark factoryhall and they only want to serve tourgroups. We had to walk 20 minutes along a dark dangerous road to the next restaurant.... More
