We stayed one night in Moni to visit the vulcano (which, due to bad weather, we unfortunately didn't see), and it was nice to stay in Brian's homestay. The property has four rooms with a nice veranda opposite Brian's house. The rooms are big, but sparsely furnished. The bed however sleeps okay. The bathroom is huge but basic. Hot water... More

The owner Mateo was really friendly and the room was large and clean. We stayed one night longer than first planned because he helped us a lot to discover the surrounding area (like a beautiful waterfall or hot springs in the center of rice fields). He first picked us up in Ende and brought us to Moni for a very... More

I stayed here for one night. My room was very comfortable with a big bed and hot shower. Air con is not necessary because of the cool temperatures in Moni. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I got a welcome drink on arrival and delicious breakfast in the morning. Keep in mind that in general the accommodation standards in Flores are... More

Don't stay here, and definitely don't arrange ojeks here!! We tried to book two ojeks to Kelimutu from Hidaya, the staff appeared to be friendly and we agreed with a reasonable price. We paid him 50% deposit and he asked us to wait there at 4.30am the next morning. We wanted a receipt of sth, but he said "don't worry,... More

We stayed in the new bungalow/rooms that have been built and while they were not finished, we found Moni to be one of the highlights of our trip. The people in this small village are what makes this place special. The view over the rice paddies and the village people just going about their farming life as you sip on... More

Hidayah has two pleasant blocks of rooms (can fit for couples or family) with a view on the nearby rice fields but nothing exceptional (as can suggest some guide books). Rooms are large and clean, and bed comfortable. However we spent only one night there and it was enough. The owner was friendly but tried to sell us his services... More

We chose this Guesthouse because in the Daylight it looked nice with comfy Rattan chairs and tables on the Verandah, clean simple rooms with good beds and the Restaurant next to the rooms. It was inexpensive and seemed ok for one night. Dinner (Nasi Goreng) at the Restaurant was very good but the staff in the Restaurant was more then... More

There are plenty of places to stay in Moni. We did look up accommodation options before we arrived but it seems that only a couple of the really expensive eco-resorts are listed on the internet. When you arrive, just walk up and down the main street and you will find a reasonably priced place that suits you. There are also... More

There are many lodges in Moni where you should base yourself if you plan to have a glimpse of Kelimutu; most of them are typical local houses converted to lodges. Hidayah has 4 bedrooms, each with double bed but as there were 3 of us, the staff quickly set up additional bed. Room was ok and clean. Breakfast is included.... More
