My family and I just spend three incredible days at Paradiso Village. It was heaven on earth. The only thing you need to do is wake up. Your meals are provided and are EXCELLENT. There are lots of things to do here: canoeing, hiking, exploring, scuba diving and snorkelling. My favourite thing to do was to sit on the seculeded beach and watch the monkey and other animals in this gorgeous setting. The hosts, Marco and Dominique are incredible, friendly people who made our stay very special. I can't say enough good things about this place. JUST GO!

This is a great place to go to if you want to have rest and peace. You do not have to do anything at all. Breakfast, lunch, tea, cocktails with snacks and dinner at the same time and place every day. No worries Just enjoy the very good food and chats with the other guests at the table. Snorkeling in the Reef gives you the idea you are in the middle of the film Nemo with all the colorful fishes. The place needs a bit of a renovation though to meet the price you pay for it.

This really is your idyllic exotic island retreat. About 2hrs drive and a 10min speedboat ride from Padang airport you end up in this little slice of paradise. This is a beach retreat which holds on to it’s roots and gives you a truly away from it all experience (no wifi). The cabins are well equipped with plenty of attention to detail. No a/c but a large ceiling fan. Best bathroom we came across in Sumatra and they have a spring on the island so the water is safe to drink/brush your teeth with. Food is more western with a nod to the local and delicious and plentiful. Meals are taken as a group at set times other than breakfast which you have when you are ready. We all ate very well indeed. On arrival we were given snorkels to keep for our stay and the coral reef is at the end of the pier. You can walk to the top of the jungle behind the beach which is a very steep up and down (1.5hrs). They have canoes which you can take out to explore and a nearby island had some jumping platforms which kids were very happy to visit. Scuba diving available, not that we tried it and other than that it’s mainly chilling, enjoying the jungle sounds and creatures around and taking in the beautiful setting. Marco and Dominique are pro hosts, making sure you are totally taken care of. It was the perfect way to end our trip to Sumatra.

I was travelling in between business with a colleague. We wnated to go to place isolated from the populated places we travel in when doing businnes. This turned out to be the place to go to. The location is awesome (we had a bungalow right in front of the beach), the food is really fantastic. The servis is reallt great and hospitality from Marco and Domique was really great. The feeling you have when you are there is very special and even I was only there for two nights I forgot all about work and found myself in paradise. Beside that there is a lot of activites to do if you find paradise to overwhelming (smiley :) ) Thank you very much for a great experience.
