Wonderful stay at arlen . Enjoyed bungalows near the lake. Beatifull garden with markisa plantation. The fisherman really freindly help me how to drive traditional cano . The restaurant have nice food with localy food and westrend food . Really quaet place so far from laudly city. I will back to arlen homestay

We were looking for a quite place and defenitely found it here. You only meet some fishermen at the lake and the nice staff. The food was also very yummy and pretty cheap. Unfortunately there are countless ants everywhere, in the bungalow, terrace, garden, beach. We knew it before from other reviews but couldn't imagine so many. The bungalows need...

We liked this place so much we did not want to leave and it was one of our favorite places in sumatra. The location is quiet away from the hussel and bussel and it has a private beach that is good for swimming with no fish farms. The view from our hut was breath taking. The staff are really warm...

We took the local travel (shared taxi) from Bukittinggi and were dropped off on the roadside. There is no road access to Arlen Nova, so we carried our packs through the rice fields down to the lake. I have reread the reviews and agree overall. The rooms are so unclean. i had a little cupboard with bloodstained bandages inside, toothbrushes and sandals inside which suggested fisherman were sleeping there. the sheets were dirty and on our last morning it was raining heavily so doubt there would be laundry done. Cats abound and will get on the bed...

come if you enjoy paying 17,500 rupiah (very expensive for sumatra) to sleep in a mouldy room hearing the rats in the roof, managers party til 4am each night with loud music. limited dining options nearby. no canoes available one motorbike and the beach is covered in dead fish which even the cats wont touch. no bed bugs only positive...come...
