I reserve rooms thru mercure batam offical website, we received a confirmation email that rooms has been reserved. When we arrived, system shows our reservation did not went thru. The reservation staff mention tha our payment never get thru and our reservation has been cancelled. If only us facing this issue i undsrstand but few of them facing the same...

Old and tired hotel. Hotel is not centrally located. Front desk courteous and helpful. Room is spacious but smell musty. Air conditioning is very cold even after turning up temp. Small Swimming pool on upper floor but no lifeguard. Hotel is lax on Swimming attire. Buffet breakfast costs 100,000rps per pax. Do not go for the hotel massage. Masseur lacks...

Stayed for a night as our usual hotel were fully booked. We don't expect much for a three star hotel but it seems they got renovation going on. Requested for non smoking room however we was given a smoking floor. Receptionist namely emily has horrid engish which neither my friends nor i could understand her adding on. If there is problem with the card machine, someone should inform me pior my stay and not on the spot claim its not paid.

These are just some of my feeback... Be sure to choose room facing pool side which less noisy than the side facing school and traffic which hinders my sleep. So we downgrade to delux room which is actually slighly nicer than junior suite which has older design even though its bigger. The pillows in suite are too high for me....

The hotel lobby was average. There are few seats allocated for guests checking in and out. The receptionist converse well with English. Our deluxe room was OK. The headboard was unique as it was decorated with wood accented with red lights. Our room was facing the pool. Breakfast was average, nothing special. But we ate at the restaurant for dinner...

I don't know it just me having a one time bad situation or just it is. The room kind a smell it seem hasn't been stay for a long time. The funiture are old. Perhaps the funiture are from the previous hotel (royal hotel if i'm wrong)before becoming a mercure. The breakfast are cold like the Potato the fried noddle...
